Give Kkoma his Teemo skin

Leo1024··121 votes·4,396 views

The man has led his team to 3 world championships and 2 of them were consecutive, the coach is just as important as the players and they deserve skins as well. Yeah teemo just got a new skin but this man alongside skt has put his heart and soul into League of legends and he deserves a skin more than anyone

+1 to this. the man is amazing, and from what I can tell, a man that believes in the game. also I love how he's like, "...even if we lose, let's play without regrets. Fighting!" <3

What do the coaches do exactly?

It's somewhere in the name I'm sure.

Do they coach?

reaperteaser4 votes

no, im pretty sure they are either leagues version of cheerleaders or they fetch waterbottles for the carries

TBakes9 votes

They should just create a new coaching archetype champion and name it Kkoma, or maybe design a support item and name it after him.

Yes yes and yes, I loved when Easyhoon got a skin, I thought it was great that the sub got included, I'd really love for them to now include coaches aswell, it's their 3rd win they deserve something special.

Leo10245 votes

yeah, though people complain about skt always winning, they've had it so hard, the had to beat ROX and SSG this year, both were unstoppable and are easily among the best teams in korea but skt pulls it off and they earned their win. 3 wins has never been done and no ones even reached 2, skt has cemented their legacy into league of legends and having everyone involved recognized would be amazing, giving easyhoon a skin was a great start but coaches are just as important!

Monkey D Luffy3 votes

Exactly, coaches and subs are instrumental in games, coaches PLAY half the game as it is, pick and bans are monumental and can make or break the game, I think that this should be the case for all teams but now is a great time to start :)

Don't you think it's already bad enough that SKT got 6 skins as opposed to the traditional 5?

they deserve it

That's called evolution in League. Zed Tradition is the source of weakness.

I feel like taking advice from Zed is not wise...

Well he is kinda right in a way but he's an asshole regardless.

How is that bad? They have a sub who splits time with his main counterpart 50/50.

Everyone participates and contributes to their victory. Even Blank will get his skin like Easyhoon last year

I mean if I constantly subbed in for Faker and still won while he needed a break and got no skin in the end for me as the sub I'd be pissed off.

Leo10241 votes

he only played in the group stage and once in semifinals for a two game total, it's not about play time it's about recognizing the people that make up SK Telecom to becoming the first truly great team, in sports we have the Bulls with Jordan or the Bears with Walter Payton and esports has SK Telecom with faker, everyone involved deserves recognition, not to mention kkoma already got a broken medal at the finals lol

their coach since skt t1 was formed

manbearswine2 votes

I have to disagree.

Not devaluing his contributing to the team, but the championship skins are something which identifies with the player, this is why you can't give faker ahri for example, he didn't play her at worlds at all(it was an option in s3, but that's not the point).

In other words for a player to get a skin he has to have a notable connection with the champion, so that people to some extent identify that champion with them, unfortunately the coach doesn't play, so I think giving him a skin would go against the symbolism of championship skins.

Leo10244 votes

that shouldn't matter, Easyhoon getting a skin was great because Riot recognized even the little guys, he only played 2 games, one in groups and one in the semifinals but the coach has lead them through EVERY SINGLE GAME. You hear of the Vince Lombardi award in football for him being such a great coach and leading his team to multiple championships, kkoma has done the same for the esports world and the least we can do is get him a skin

manbearswine1 votes

{quoted}

that shouldn't matter,

Of course it should, the skins signify the victory of that team, and the champions which are associated with that victory, giving a skin to someone who didn't play breaks that tradition, when you look at past skins and splash you see "these champions signify the victory of team A in time B", you give the coach a skin cause he likes teemo, why not give faker an ahri skin? why not give wolf a vayne skin? Why not give duke a shaco skin? The skins stand for something, and they will stop doing that if you give the coach a skin, unless maybe it was something genius he drafted, I guess you can give him a nidalee skin then(even though it's the opposite, at least it's something he is related to in some way).

Easyhoon getting a skin was great because Riot recognized even the little guys, he only played 2 games, one in groups and one in the semifinals but the coach has lead them through EVERY SINGLE GAME.

But Easyhoon actually played a champion, he has also been with them before that, and azir was something he was somewhat known for, it doesn't break the tradition of the previous skins, giving the coach a skin does.

You hear of the Vince Lombardi award in football for him being such a great coach and leading his team to multiple championships, kkoma has done the same for the esports world and the least we can do is get him a skin

I don't mind him getting an award, I don't care if they would put a gigantic picture of him on the splash or something, or say something like a ward skin, but the champion skins are something representing the victory of the players and the champions they won on, giving one to the coach ruins that connection.

You talk about him not playing the game but pick and bans are half the game...

and...

You clearly haven't done your research, the Nidalee was an oversight of Kkoma, in which he was like "Oh my bad that's my mistake", and then they came to the conclusion Bengi could play it.

You could argue coaches are more important than subs, and I assure you Blank will get a Nidalee skin, even though he didn't win any games semis - finals, while Kkoma was there for every single game, a ward skin? A picture in the splash? No, it's time for Riot to recognise such an instrumental figure in Skt's 3 victories...

-_-

Oh he plays? What champion/s is he renowned for playing, go ahead, tell me, don't be shy.

You clearly haven't done your research, the Nidalee was an oversight of Kkoma, in which he was like "Oh my bad that's my mistake", and then they came to the conclusion Bengi could play it.

Which part of "even though it's the opposite" did you not understand? at least this is something he actually is known for.

This isn't about importance, why is reading so fucking hard, first "even though it's the opposite" now this. The subs at least have a connection to a champion, they actually are somewhat known for playing it.

Every single skin(I'm talking about the winning championship skins) so far represents the success of a certain player on a certain champion, and often renown for playing it, nobody ever got a skin for a champion cause he felt like he wants a skin for it, he had to do very well on it first

EVERY SINGLE SKIN SO FAR

As important of a member of skt as he is, he isn't above this symbolism, you can't just give people a skin for shits on giggles, the player first of all has to earn it by playing that champion repeatedly and well, and that's not something a coach has access to.

#Give The Man His Teemo Skin.

Fine, but then give every single player a skin for what he wanted, not what he did well on, I just want consistency.

But why...Teemo?

Should be "Coach Jax" or something.

SKTeemo.

SlyTactician 6 votes

He wanted Teemo since his ingame name literally translates to little child/kid in Korean according to a recent interview and he's fond of the idea as well.

Okay then. At least someone downvotes AND explains it.

SlyTactician 2 votes

I actually didn't downvote your comment; however, glad I can help. ^^
