A friend of mine, that doesn't play league asked, what about ties, and I was like, league doesn't do ties, but then I thought about it... What circumstances would cause a tie? If all ten players disconnected by a stroke of the gods, would the game cease to be, or would minions force one of the teams to win psuedo-randomly, and what other circumstances might result in a non-victory/defeat game?
The only way games end in a draw is if all ten players disconnect (the game ceases to be) or if Riot take the servers offline for any reason. I can remember reading that there is actually a time limit to games on Summoner's Rift.
Addendum: If you were to start a game and do nothing and not disconnect, a random team's minions will eventually press to the nexus.
Well, since having Vayne on the enemy team is an insta-lose... Having a Vayne on both teams should result in a tie.
