Passive Supports Losing TONS of Late Game Power

So I've been playing Soraka and Sona for support for my ranked games and I've been finding that late game, a lot of the more tankier supports: (including but not limited to) Leona Thresh Braum have been showing a much more late game spikes versus Soraka Sona Karma Lulu . Is there any other way to show some presence late game and not be part of a weaker late game compisition without transitioning to a tank?

Well, Taric shows late game because his passive needs armor. But, his passive also is great for getting his R down to 20 seconds from 65.

But, Zilean passive becomes worthless after level 18, which he hits faster than others. He has 1 damage ability, 1 ability to do the damage twice and a chance for a stun, and 1 speed up or slow down ability. Then there's his revive. I honestly want his E to allow bonus AS or slow AS, since his passive eventually becomes nothing unlike every other champion.

Thresh/Leo lose more than half their games "late game", only Braum wins half+, but he loses more than half early on. Not sure what late game power you're talking about, unless you mean the power of losing games?

I'm not entirely sure about the others, but as far as Soraka is concerned I have a difficult mid game, but a huge endgame. That is because I build her AP. I usually don't loose games where I get some early assists.

Soraka is an endgame champion...

The problem with Soraka isn't Soraka, it is the stupid plays by stupid players which cause her to heal more than she should.
