@Riot Can we Please Have an AP QSS?

We have an AD QSS and a mana regen QSS. AP needs one too to counter champions like Fiora or Zed.

Don't say item 3157 because QSS = removing all status effects. Not making you invinivible for a short time.

Can ad champs have a death cap? And don't say IE cause it's not.

AD Champs have base attack damage. Mages dont have base AP.

Every champion gets base attack damage.

If you would rather have 0 AD and 60 AP to start out the game, be my guest.

That's really good on a mage.

Think again.

You wouldn't be able to CS without your spells. Imagine being forced to spent 80 mana each time you wanted a minion.

That's why champions have base AD.

Sure you could. You just make autoattacks scale off of base AP.

That would essentially be the exact same thing as base AD.

AD works on your auto attacks.

Having a fixed amount of damage attached to your auto attacks.

Is called base AD.

Yes is would...except it would be for AP users. what's your point? :p

You can't have both....one or the other. Base AP, or base AD. That's my point.

Are you just fucking with me now?

Mostly yeah :D

Though it's always seemed weird to me though that AP champions don't gain more damaging auto attacks as they gain AP. After all, most of them shoot energy as their AA. Shouldn't they be able to shoot more damaging energy the more power they have? I understand the reason for it...it just doesn't make sense thematically.

This game isn't supposed to make sense thematically.

No, AD champions can't have an AD deathcap, because it would also multiply the damage of their basic attack, making them ridiculously broken.

But an ap assassin with zhonyas and qss that is unable to be ccd or bursted while still going full damage isn't?

CrazedPorcupine1 votes

It is broken, which is why Riot will never make an AP QSS.

To be honest, I don't know the answer. There are bursty ADCs and AD assassins that can build item 3139. There are bursty mages and AP assassins that can build item 3157. I really don't know if things would change if AP champions were given an AP item 3140. It's something that would help them get some magic resist, because Riot eventually wants item 3001 to be a fighter/tank item only and AP mages and assassins would lack of MR items other than item 3174. An AD item 3157 would be very useful on assassins like Rengar and Talon, who can easily go in but struggle to get out. It would also help marksmen against them and against Zed's ult (qss works aswell, I know, but the magic resist is completely wasted against Zed), but it would make them unable to kite and therefore useless if their team can't protect them after the stasis ends.

Sure, it will improve the AD of all your items by 30%. Of course, all your other items will then have their AD nerfed by 30%, and your build will be "balanced around" this item so that you have to build it every game. It will cost 3800 gold.

i would like an doa for ad too

CrazedPorcupine1 votes

Uhh... how about NO because then it becomes a must rush on every AP midlaner ever because it offers an incredible active, while providing useful stats that basically make it "Build this or Lose"

doiminat0r36001 votes

That's what everyone said about an AD item that had grievous wounds. I have seen maybe 3 posts about an AD grievous wounds item that were all downvoted tremendously. Yet, Riot still made it a thing. Ask yourself, what could APs get out of a QSS item to help them counter the massive AD shift and tank dominance?

WalkingInACircle1 votes

Much rather have an AP Hexdrinker. 40 AP, 35 armor, shield against AD damage, 1300 gold. And its bigger version, 100 AP, 10 mpen, 50 armor and a bigger shield against AD damage.
