I don't use default keys to play league anymore and it's improved my play.

So for the longest time I have been using the default keys to play league and I was getting by. A whole season later I never could get over one very important thing. I just couldn't feel comfortable playing with how league set everything up on the default page. I always used the mouse to level up skills and I could never position my hands fast enough to level them up while in combat. So I'll tell you the default keys used as you all know, then I'll tell you what I use now and how it's helped me play a lot better.

So for almost everyone out there the default keys to play this game are Q W E R, 123456, with V as caution ping and D F as summoner spells. I played league like the rest of you for a long time like this. I found that my hands weren't comfortable doing things very fast like using flash so I switched things around QUITE a bit to a new layout and I couldn't believe how much reaction time i gained from it.

Here is what use. ( A S D F ) are now my ( Q W E R ). E and G are now my summoner spells. Q W and R are my active items, health pots, qss, randuins etc, etc. C and V are now my alert ping and caution pings. I have everything to quick cast all. O and btw my spam laugh is now T. Shop is opened by ( P ). I push LEFT ALT + A, S, D or F, to level up skills. I have large hands and trust me that got a little getting used to but once you learn to switch your hand to left alt then push asdf to level up one of your skills you will find that even in combat you can keep your hand on the skills you need to cast and your reaction time between leveling up and casting a skill will have increase significantly. I have found it easier to push E as my teleport ignite, etc and G as my flash a lot easier to do than having your hands rest on qwer and having to move your fingers down. I like having my hands on the home row not the row above. It just feels "off" and I could never fix that "off" feeling.

Tell me guy's, what do you think about this? I have been using this layout now for over 9 months and I can't tell you how much it's improved my reaction times in games. So I thought I would share this with the community. Enjoy!!

To each their own, I say. Some people don't even use keyboards.

I don't have a problem with default controls and I've been playing with these controls for so long I'm not gonna bother attempting to change/essentially relearning to play the game

i played with my ring/middle/trigger on q/w/e, i move my trigger finger over to ult since im not pressing r that often, so i don't need a dedicated finger.

I use my trigger for my summoner spells, flash always on F. I wanna say i have flash on F since it's got a 5 minute CD in a similar fashion to my ult, but the truth is i fell the "press D to dance!!" wayyy too often when i first started so i swapped.

I have my pinky on shit, for whenever i gotta press it (Attack move i guess? Lol i never even press shift...)

THumb ofc rests on space, which is really useful to snap back to your character

and ofc laugh is on T for easier access
