Why I think you shouldn't be allowed to surrender ranked matches.

Why start something you can't finish people. Surrendering is the true waste of time and experience. By not surrendering you further your knowledge on your champion and what it can/can't handle etc, etc. People who surrender matches annoy me therefore I NEVER surrender. It's not trolling to not surrender. I care about the win and in every game there is a chance even though you are currently being stomped that the enemy can get over confident and goof up which would result in a loss for THEM. Surrendering shouldn't even be in the ranked games. Take each loss as a learning experience, utilize it and then apply it to the next ranked match. The biggest mistake the average community makes isn't feeding, isn't walking around an unwarded jungle, isn't being fed then getting shutdown knowing they could've backed; the biggest mistake is people not TRULY knowing their champs limits. I don't care how experienced you THINK you are at your roll, champion or this game. You can always learn more and that is why I think that you shouldn't be allowed to surrender a ranked match.

until the score is 8 to 30 and your 16k+ behind

I don't really see how you think this is an issue. If you are always voting "no" or not voting, then it literally takes the rest of your team to concede defeat.

Well we do need an option to end a game without disconnecting. We need it because the disrespect is real and people tend to troll teir opponents by not ending games. With the Surr option removed this could go out of hand quiet fast.

Still - I hate the Surr Spammers as well - I seriously lost a Teamfight once because the flaming smart ass getting caught pressed Surr in the middle of the fight which (usually results in a major distraction for the fighting member, but here) resulted in a lost fight and game because the Surr window poped up directly above the 5th freaking Dragon I intended to Smite!!!!

  • Just give people only one SurrenderInitial per game (which refreshes after at least two others used theirs)
  • Increase the the Surr CD!
  • Make Surr muteable!
  • Make clear that crying for Surr is unsportsmanlike and therefore reportable!

not surrendering at certain times is good, but knowing when to cut your losses is good too. it's usually not a matter of not wanting to finish/starting something you can't finish. it's a matter of why should we finish? if the game is to the point that it would take 20 major screw ups by the enemy team it is a good time to surrender, it is no longer your game to win it is theirs to lose which most of the time won't happen. i don't care if you've "won a 3v5 in ranked" 1 game does not disprove everything.

I'd like to keep it as an option for those rare occasions where the enemy team is crushing you but refusing to end the game in favour of killing you in spawn.

Further your knowledge of the champion?

"Hmm, I seem to have died in 1.8 seconds to a 10-1 Rengar as full tank. I believe that the lesson to be learned here is dodge when you see a 'top hard carry only d1 smurf' instalock Teemo."

What the fuck do you learn from being shit stomped absolutely nothing. Also you are selfish because some people use PC cafés and they pay for time and why waste the effort coming back when you can just reset and get on with the next game which will hold a greater chance of success.

They should AT LEAST allow you to disable your own surrender, and prefer to get matched with people who do the same.

Surrendering in ranked is such a massive waste of time.

Except knowing your limits when your opponent is already 10 kills ahead is not very useful in the average match. You just shouldn't let him go to 10 kills in the first place. So if you had a bad game, and all other lanes too, as well surrender and start a fresh match in good condition.

Some people may tend to surrender too easily, but completely removing surrender is not a good solution either...
