Learning Ryze; some questions

  1. I'm mainly considering playing Ryze mid lane; how viable is this in comparison to playing him top?

  2. I'm aware the build for Ryze mid differs, but in what ways?

  3. Optimal summoner spells for mid lane? e.g ignite or tp or exhaust, which for which situations?

Sorry if these questions might seem obvious, but I just have a habit of trying to know as much as I can about a champ before I begin to play them.

I played release rework Ryze, but I understand he's weaker now, here's my tips.

  1. Top ryze does less damage, but gets a lot more tanky. He still has a lot of damage.. I recomend this, it's a lot more fun.
  2. I like going for tear, but not finishing the item until it's stacked. Then I go for RoA, it boosts your hp and damage a lot. Then I usually go for the Frozen Heart. It gives the rest of the CDR you need, and really helps as an item, since you're normally going against an AD champion. For the rest, you can choose a tanky boots or MPEN boots, the rest are pretty much useless. Then you can go tank for the rest
  3. Flash TP for top, TP Ignite for mid HF with this man :P
