Why the Renekton QoL buffs are wonderful

The buffs to his W (Ruthless Predator) increase his empowered auto-attack range by 50. This may not seem like much, but anyone who plays Renekton often should see the versatility in this change.

With this change, Ruthless Predator is much more reliable as an auto-attack reset. Before, when laning as Renekton, one would stand just far enough from the enemy to not seem aggressive, then dash in with E (Slice) with W ready to proc; the range of his E would prevent him from having enough time to atuo-attack once then reset his auto-attack timer with W before they walked out of range, making the whole "Auto-attack Reset" part of his kit somewhat meaninless when trying to play aggressively against a champion that needs to be bullied. This change, however, gives him that slight increase he needs to get as much damage as possible into his combo before he uses E (Dice) to escape. Not only that, but it now improves his ability to deal with ranged top laners who stand just out of that range.

Now lets talk about the other QoL buff to his W: the reduced time on his self-stun. For those of you who don't know, before this change if Renekton uses his W to stun a target, he wouldn't be able to auto-attack during the cast time, and the cast time was just as long as the stun lasted, making it more optimal to use it as the last part of his harass, since he couldn't use any other abilities anyway. There was, however, a way to remove this cast time by using the Cleave unique active , adding a small degree of skill on this otherwise straightforward champion. This change, however, makes him self-stunned for 2/3 of the duration, giving him time to use his Q (Cull the Meek) while the target is still stunned or allowing him to fit an extra auto-attack into the burst, especially before he buys Tiamat.

TR;DL The Renekton changes really improve his gameplay, making early bullyling very comparable to what it used to be; it allows him to fit in extra auto-attacks into his burst and helps him deal with ranged champions.

I'm overall very satisfied with this change, and will be playing Renekton a lot more. TY Riot!
