learn to play the support well and you'll never have to feel bad about auto-fill again.
I feel like autofill in Platinum and below shouldn't be a thing. I could understand it at high elos, where the player pool is much much smaller. In lower ques it cuts off what maybe a minute or two? And then you are stuck with a non-support player playing support AT LOW ELO. These people then are frustrated, they don't know basics for supporting so often they start game tilted, make basic mistakes in lane, can potentially tilt the ADC as a result as they don't know basics for laning in bottom, etc. Then you also get the autofilled supports who don't even attempt to play support so you end up with Xin Zhao or Yasuo support who basically does nothing but stand there and take up xp because they cant do anything in a lane with a zyra, brand or a leona, alistar lane on the enemy team. They go in and get half healthed before doing anything or just feed.
Autofill at low elo in particular is not fun for anyone, and it only cuts off a small portion of time from que because the player pool at lower levels is bigger.
