This sort of heterogeneous matchup is bad for the user experience.

It's not fun to be the fifth wheel in a match between two diamond players.

This sort of game happens more frequently than you'd think. There was no point to me being an active participant in this game. It was basically "three high ranked players" with some newbies to fill it out. On the plus side, at least the high-MMR people were nicer than the average <30.

Two conclusions from this sort of game:

  1. Premade MMR is poorly calculated.

  2. MMR and geniality appear to be inversely related.

Here's the results.

sorry - but all i can think is why are diamond players EVER matched with NON-LEVEL 30'S?

Both Diamond's were que'ed with a level 22.

Actually, the match up looks almost fair.

Match Maker can't fix people que'ing with people they shouldn't be que'ing with. This is actually proof of how good the match maker can be.

One team has two level 30's, but the other team has a higher average team level and a Diamond I instead of a V.
