Should I build something like last whisper first or just go the normal route against someone like garen or singed, that build armor.

LadyRenly2 votesyou should wait, odds are a good singed will be going rylais, the others will be going tear/catalyst, and garen may just go black cleaver, or even phage+dmp(even if they rush dmp, not worth rushing last whisper)
You need damage, so you should definitely work on an attack speed item first. If it is someone like Garen, probably look at Bork. It'll give you lane sustain and at least you'll have damage for when you face other laners
