Lately I've been trying to master Irelia but when I get my placement matches for silver 2 I've been having trouble with vlad, shen and renekton. Any tips on these champions? Especially Vlad. He's been in my last 3 matches I believe. I even lost to Mord. Even though that was my first time laning against him. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I can't really think of much problem vs Shen except if you let him poke you over and over with his Vorpal blade, you should be overly agressive with him to force him to pull back, without losing too much CS, of course.
Renekton is a bit of an asinine lane, since he is an early bully whereas you're not, unless you can find a good opening, I suggest to keep yourself alive and farm, you WILL outscale him, specially at lvl 9 with your main powerspike with W (unless you want to max E for the stun).
Vladimir is another bothersome lane, I find myself rushing BoRK instead of Trinity force a lot vs agaisnt this guy, this lane is one of the ones where I prefer to get Q at lvl 1 instead of E so I can last hit minions without letting him punish me too much, that's the key component here, don't let him punish you too much, specially when he begins getting enough HP to charge his AoE spell (I think it was E?).
Many of these require you to keep yourself alive and farm up, since Irelia is extremely item reliant.

Isn't vlat at his most powerful at level 7-9 when Transfuse has a really low CD (like 2 seconds) and he has hextech revolver to get spell vamp from?
Qwandee2 votesmax the w first... obviously and get 2 dorans blades and out sustain them.. then at 6 buy either phage or sheen depending on what you vs and either burst them using your ult to proc sheen multiple times or stick on them with phage if its like a vlad with long cds...
unfortunately irelia wont beat renekton pretty much ever until like 3 items so.. that's a loss.. and shen she should beat and vlad she should beat and morde she should beat.

SH Azykan1 votesagainst Shen it is a war of attrition, just farm up and if your health is slightly under his, Q onto a low HP minion, E him and then trade a little then back off. You are not likely to kill him but he shouldn't kill you either. Just last hit every minion possible and be ready to follow his ult with tp. I would max W for this matchup.
Against Renekton, Start cloth+5. Get early ninja Tabi. Max E, save it for if he tries to engage on you. He should shove lane and you can easily farm under turret. Once you hit about level 8+ you can get him to blow his ult and then fight him on semi equal terms. You win this lane by not dying and getting enough cs to be relevant.
Against Vlad Start Flask or Longsword. Start W > Q > E and max E. Rush a Hexdrinker + Specters cowl. Once you have those 2 items Vlad does so little damage to you that you essentially get to free farm. At level 5 before backing if you are relatively healthy and shoved towards turret (and he is not level 6) Q onto a low HP minion, E him to stun while popping W, AA+Q+AA+AA and back off. Then recall for items. You will force him to recall as well or risk dying when you TP back to lane.

Shen - can't out sustain irelia.. it's more like a war in futility cuz if u click w before his taunt hits you he just kill himself.. so you should just outscale him at 10cs per minute..
Renekton - don't max the e... please.. renektons W is 225 range and your e is 175 range and this will never work ever... you should really just start flask and rush for a vamp scepter and max your w and stand under tower.. and try and live with sustain..
Vlad - you should just start dorans blade and then go back early and get another dorans blade.. and later grab a phage so you can live his burst with hp and then just force his pool out and use the phage movement speed to stick on him. with 2 dorans you should be able to out trade him at 9 with level 5 w if you're all inning him properly.
SH Azykan1 votesIrelia won't kill Shen unless the Shen is retarded. Shen should only be taunting you if he has jungle assistance or you are already lower than you should be (or under his tower for whatever reason). Other than that his Q gives him plenty of sustain vs Irelia if he has the right runes to avoid being killed. Shen won't kill you either though. So as I said and as you said just win in CS and keep him from winning other lanes from his ult by tele'ing (you didn't disagree with me there at all).
Maxing E against renekton gives you better trading against him. Especially at around level 9. Since it is your source of magic damage and he is likely rushing an armor item or damage. Maxing W in this matchup really isn't going to help you as much. And Renekton engaging on you early is going to be in range for your E. Yes his W has higher range, but he is going to be diving on you with Slice/Dice and you can instantly E him and deny the rest of his engage entirely. Also Renekton does 100% physical damage aside from ult. Cloth + 5 allows you to survive more damage due to you having innate sustain compared to flask early. And it builds into other useful items for Irelia.
Longsword + 3 pots > Doran's Blade + 1 pot on a melee AA champ to start vs Vlad (this is not a personal opinion this is calculated fact by someone else). Vlad is not going to all in you; so the extra 2 pots sustain, more AD, and it being an item that builds into other items you need beats the doran's blade. Also rushing a hexdrinker into Specters cowl pretty much entirely invalidates Vlad's damage on you. Sure if you start to get ahead early go ahead and go for phage into trinity force to snowball but realistically Vlad's harass is going to zone you from some farm once he gets a hextech revolver (when his E will actually heal him thanks to minions) if he is any good.
If you are going to base your entire disagreement on my rank, please at least give better explanations as to why my reasoning is wrong.

long sword + 3 pots is better... on an assassin.. which you are not... you're a bruiser and the longterm sustain a double dorans provides will heavily outweigh 3 pots from a longsword and like i said you're bronze because you still dont understand the concept of the bonus hp given by dorans blades that will help you all in without being bursted to death... by vlad ult
and I never said she should kill shen you clearly dont know how to read but you do know how to get angry at your own stupidity. I said if shen taunts "he'd kill himself" which basically means he'd take a terrible trade.......... I didnt mean he'd actually die.. in one taunt... it's an exaggeration...
