Is it very hard to just slip 3 or 4 super minor changes to improve the game for the next few weeks? just knock a little attack speed off of the adc core items. will that honestly break the game so bad that the world will end?

ADCs are broken in general, mostly due to things like itemization. Ardent was a problem in it's own right but it's issues were only amplified because it assisted an already busted class the most. Nerfing Ardent will not fix the ADC problem, just make it less big.

Tristana, Twitch, Caitlyn, Kog'maw will still be good enough early game and monsters late game. ADC items are incredibly powerful and incredibly cheap. People have suggested more anti-crit itemization and maybe have Thornmail reflect extra damage on crits.

To be fair, Censor did for a while, negate the need for LS in your itemization. And even when that got nerfed, Enchanters as a whole, reduced the need for sustain. (Also, Warlords synergizing with the other energize items.)
ADC itemization simply doesn't have the same level of Opportunity cost as it use to. Itemizing 3 or 4 crit items meant giving up LS, or giving up your last whisper. That use to be huge, but at the moment you can build exclusively for a Max DPS with little defensive repercussion.

Meep Man1 votesArdent Censor is being nerfed next patch, Rammus is becoming even better against ADCs while being worse against Mages, Urgot is actually getting some pretty massive buffs without being the "help me, I'm stuck in a pit" kind of buffs, and Manamune is actually getting buffed. I feel like those are nice for now.

xelaker1 votessigh... everyone likes to hop on ardent censor, and it isn't the problem. remove ardent censor from the game and adc's will still do loads of burst dps. Hence my suggestion to knock some attack speed off of their core items. Read into stuff peeps, stop repeating popular boards.
