In this assassin meta, Zoe can get 100-0 no clown by any assassin, her combo can easily be interrupted by someone else body blocking her Q and no matter how you look at it there's other mages who has more lane pressure. Just what about Zoe makes people hate her so much?
Slythion11 votesShe's easily one of the worst designed champions in the game, who blatantly defies several things Riot claimed to stand by and has several special interactions that go against anything remotely consistent about the game.
Much like CT's other champions, she's fun to play but absolutely horrid to play against.
She's annoying, stressful, and absolutely 0 fun...but thank god she has a happy voice and pretty colors to make people like her.
Worst Kench NA8 votesBuster or not, I consider Zoe's kit to be extremely toxic and unfun to play against. It follows CertainlyT's champ design (with the exception of Warwick), which are the epitome of "fun for me but not for you" champ design. I don't have this same feeling while playing against, say, Aatrox or Swain. While you're not necessarily supposed to cater to the entertainment value of your enemies through your champ select. you also have to take in to account if a champ's kit is too toxic, like Zoe's for instance, that it actively causes people to not want to play the game.

Riot has a difficult enough time NOT making edgelords and characters defined by tragedy and homicide, and Zoe is a step in the right direction - even though she still has that dark smear of obliterating a whole town for the hell of it in her lore. Ivern was the same way - cheerful and silly in game, super grim dark former murderer in the lore. Riot has this insatiable inability to make truly carefree, happy characters, and always has to taint them with grimdarkedgelordiness.

It's not that. It's just instead of being someone mischievous, quick and lovable like Vanellope from Wreck-It Ralph, she is more of a Lulu on drugs and dangerous amounts of sugar with a dash of Annie. Not to mention, she completely fails the "trickster" part because for trickster she does a lot of things mindlessly.

I would agree with that. As I said, Riot has difficulty delivering cheerful characters without a dash of homicidal tendencies.

or someone blocking it that will save you.
If you get caught, half of your health is gone when she does her combos after - that's not balanced and of course she will get hated for that.
As for her lore and character, I think she's pretty fine.
Alex h87211 votesTbh i hate zoe more b/c of the random W rng than anything else. That W is so overloaded, item active and summoners from minions and from enemies using them, plus MS boost, Plus a sheen proc. Its already a ton of utility (and damage) on 1 spell, she can get semi-globals (redemption) off minions and swing a fight in a whole other lane.
The bubble/paddlestar and ult have counterplay more so than the RNG of her w where she can get 2 ignites in a row and just force you out of lane.
Draconian5652 votesYes. I hate the random Hextech hose she randomly gets at Lv6 or something. W should also have a cooldown of 20-40s so she cant double flash and ignite because your team is running away.
I dislike the E -> guaranteed Q. There needs to be more counterplay for max range Qs, where the drowsy is 0.5s but hte sleep is 1-2s scaling up.
