Here's a suggestion: Have the metaphorical Babe Ruth swing the not-so-metaphorical Nerf Bat.
We need a few nerf home runs, I think. In general: -Nerf Tank damage(I think mundo and braum are good examples of what damage should look like) -Give tanks back their role as a tank(i.e. give ornn his unstoppable back, give tanks some interesting abilities along those lines) -Don't buff the damage for champs like Tryndamere or Yi, the champs who are some of the very definition of "Feast or Famine" -Tone down the amount of "untargetable" effects in the game(it used to be just zhonyas, now there's stopwatch and a plethora of similar champion effects too) -Make all the roles distinct and include build options for each of them(mage support, support tank, utility support, AD bruiser, AP bruiser, Tank, Mage, utility mage, AD assassin, AP assassin, marksman, skirmishers(Trynd, yi, fiora, teemo, etc.) and whatever else I missed) (This also means giving each role strengths/weaknesses, like maybe having most of the cc on tanks/utility, less survivability on (some) assassins, etc. These are simply ideas) -Overall make it so any gimmicks or high points of champ kits are complemented by weaknesses(i.e. spam potential on zoe matched by low base damage/ratios, Ornn having tanky utility but low damage, etc.)
These seem to be the general opinion of the masses, from what I've read. It also seems like these are generally what people have a problem with. Note: the examples given are not all that should change, or that necessarily should change themselves. Just examples of the thought process.
