I'm normally a support main but recently I have played a couple games as Jhin with a Rengar on the other team, after twenty minutes Rengar ults, kills me, and repeats as soon as it's off cooldown. How can I play against that other than buy a GA, because at 20 minutes that's not really worth the gold. It's super frustrating, any advice would be helpful.

But the best counter is what the majority of the community has already been doing. Perma-ban Rengar.
Stick with your team. Control wards when he ults. Ward in general to check for flank attempts. CC. Armor/shield items.
Shroom everything. He can't hit you invisible cause the moment he breaks his stealth he loses sight of you. Blind dart OP
I think the best way is to get AOE cc on him. For example, I normally play amumu in the jg, and if I see a fed rengar approaching (He becomes visible closer to the team), I would just ult, and our carries would quickly burst him down. I dont see this as a waste of an ult in my opinion, because it keeps the carries alive, instead of one of them dying.
Another good thing to do against a rengar is exhaust, it would seriously limit his damage output, especially considering many people think exhaust is more on the overpowered scale now.
Finally, another thing that I do as a tank in the jg is to try to make sure that I am always the closest, so he has to jump on me.

The new Rengar stomps his old counters, because he doesn't rely on AAs anymore. Zhonya is still pretty good vs him, also GA, Banshee and Edge of Night will probably block a Q. Staying together and decent supports like Thresh/ Leona/ Blitz that can interrupt his combo.
