Yet another post about AFK'ers....Riot please add some insight!!
So during preseason I was S5. Not great, but being bronze 3 most the Season 4, I thought it was definitely an achievement.
So I decided to start my Placement matches the other day. oy.
I am currently 3/3. No joke, the 3 losses had 3 afks. Now I am not saying that if they were in we would have won hands down, but yeah, we lost them.
1st loss: our 3rd pick says he's going corki adc. AWESOME right? well, our 5th pick INSTA-locks kalista and tells the corki he is going to have to mid because he doesn't want to mid. Guess who took support for this match....yours truly. ugh. 2nd loss: Decent team makeup on paper, but in Champ select, the Darius (4th pick) claimed he couldn't chat, but still instalocks Darius when Shen was top. So Shen was nice to say that he could support and let darius top. In game Darius finally typed and said his chat was effed. Was he blind too? 3rd loss: Decent team makup on paper again, but our mid annie goes afk for about 12 mins, and our jung nidalee tried to stay mid and cover, but her skills/masteries/items were no match for kassadin. so He blew apart nid, roamed and killed everyone. Did exactly what he should have, but again, a loss potentially due to us not having a jung ganking for 12 mins and down 1 person in all team fights. Now annie did show back up, but fed (maybe not intentionally, but probably due to level and gear). So this "technically" wasn't an afk, but that is what I report. TL:DR So here is my proposal Riot. Can't you offer a loss prevented to a team that has someone that afk's? Your system already knows if they afk because there name is red at the end of game. There should be easy coding to say, "when name = red, offer that team loss prevented"
I would love to hear insight, or even maybe plans to change this!!!
Also, as a side note, I wouldn't feel bad at all if you could refund at least the first two losses in my placements. lol
