At least keep it on Doran's ring. After getting two rings I can usually survive just fine as long as I am efficient with my spells and CS well.

Personally I am not as upset with the removal of mana regen; I think this is an unfinished step that looks bad at first but could lead to healthier and more balance able gameplay in the future, even though it's scary right now.

Just don't change my bling, and I can live.
