Opposite of popular opinion: Riot actually cares too much about "casual" players

I often see threads saying stuff like "Riot only changes for LCS" etc. Yet high elo/lcs meta is literally dictated by what people (people -> majority -> bronze-gold players) complain about unless a champ is 100% pick ban for months in lcs. Assassins mid? Cant make them actually good for years now, sorry. Juggernauts, mostly same thing.

Let me give you an example: Zoe, everyone complained about her because "she is unfun" and "she can burst as burst mage :/", sub 40% win rate now. Her wave clear early- mid game made her broken, thats it. No reason to bomb her whole kit lol. Meanwhile Camille, no one complains about her because she has 48% win rate 5% pick rate in bronze. Yet 52% win rate 17% pick rate in diamond+. Theres 20 challengers playing Camille on Korea alone https://lolalytics.com/ranked/kr/leaderboard/Camille/ . That is quite a lot for a champ to have on all servers combined. Untouched this patch https://i.redd.it/ulvnyk8xmjcy.jpg

Balancing with the vast majority of players in mind makes plenty of sense.

stop saying this shit. This is misinformation. Riot clearly doesn't give a fuck about casual players. its obvious. that's why it keeps getting said.

i mean, fact that Darius got buffed when he was doing fine in diamond+ tells me as a former darius main that Riot still cares about us who want to play Darius in ultra high elo

Talon and Zed just got buffed, Darius and Volibear also just got buffed, but alright, the delusional assassin main needs to complain that his 1v1 class isn't broken in a 5v5 game and that they never buff certain champion only because of low ELO fault.

Challenger players like Heisendong, Autolykus and Credenda also complained about Zoe because she get free Summoners, has a high range CC that leads into a oneshot and makes people play dodgeball for 20 minutes while having no CD on it, but alright, it's only low ELO that complains about her, the only thing that made her strong was the waveclear, yup, nevermind she oneshots Ezreal with one Q cast 100-0 from the fog of war at the LCS, broken for waveclear.

They nerfed GP even though he has a 48% WR and a 5% PR in Bronze so I don't know what you're saying about Camille.

This reminds me of the old arguements on the wow pvp forums between bg and arena players over which should take priority in balance, they clearly didnt understand that pvp in wow was a side show and it itself balanced around raid dps and hps.

Unless something is completely busted in solo q like for instance old eve or as you mentioned azir riot usually lets it be. Its not until you see something like nauti/heca top in the lcs that they actually dust off the old morello nerf bat and give it a good swing

Camille is getting her turn soon.

Trust Me

She’s starting to get noticed much more and hated on .

This is how she was before and will get her nerfed again as she’s becoming stronger and stronger as her counters are nerfed.

Ok sure but why2/22/2018, 6:05:26 PM1 votes

If that was true, they would never have released an abomination like Illaoi

You misrepresent people who complained about Zoe. Her kit functioned in ways that had high frustration factors for opponents. She needs buffs now to make up for power lost, but the nerfs were absolutely justified. They hit her where she was problematic.
