How do you slow down the pace of the game?

I'm not talking about damage being too high or games being over too fast, what I'm getting at is how fast the game feels when you are for example going for a trade and simultanously have to watch minions, jungler positions and so on.

When I'm in a teamfight for another example, very often it feels like I miss half of what is happening because it just happens too fast. This feeling gets amplified when I play mechanically intensive melee heroes and gets less when i play mages and supports (the roles I'm most comfortable with).

So how do you get to a spot where you can slow down how fast you perceive the game so you can better react to what is happening instead of just doing stuff and hoping it doesn't get punished?

(I really hope that I make sense to someone)

I kinda get what you’re saying, that it all happens too fast, and you can’t really analyze what tf is going on at times, For example, when there is a 5v5 and chaos breaks out, you get confused and just try playing passive.

Honestly, just keep playing League. Play those mechanically intensive champions. No matter how bad you are, you’ll get used to it. And if it doesn’t work, just keep at it. League of Legends awards skillful plays, and if you can’t do that, there’s always a way to get better!

You answered your own question, when you play squishy melee champions you have to asess more vairables constantly, ranged champs, supports and mages have to do this less, tanks can just walk in and take punishment as its dished out

Practice your wiggling in lane, you don't have to do it fast like the 500 apm korean pros but it helps when ur hero isnt changing position too much, enemy position and minions become easier to manage

League is just a fast-paced games at those kinds of times. Just practice and eventually you'll be able to process what's going on. There isn't much of a way to avoid it except to get used to it.

You can look at the replay of the fight that you couldn't perceive after you finished that game and view at a lower speed than 1x.

Mages and support probably aren't too close to the fight compared to melees.

At the same time, teamfights in normal are so weird, cause the other team can be the one who landed an engage and afterward, they missed half of their shots and your team make it out alive at the end. And disengaging in big teamfights(5v5) don't happen much.
