im getting sick of HAVING to play support all the time because people getting autofilled are gonna make troll picks/not even put forth an effort.

this game is getting terrible. trolls everywhere, and since there's no reliable way to punish them riot goes for the people who use chat to express frustration at said trolls.

the trolls know this. they don't say a god damn word as they feed their ass off. then they report for toxic and boom, that person who got mad at the idiot literally throwing the game away for childish reasons gets in trouble.

and don't tell me it's "just a bad game" when someone is picking garen support or some similarly stupid shit.

It's not that they are unwilling to trade. Some players just want to go off meta in whatever role they want to play and land that role with that champion and they don't care about the consequences or the stress is places on their team. But it can be reported.

Because players who intentionally cause others frustration for selfish purposes is not okay. A classic example of this is a year or so ago there was a player who went support singed with smite and won approximately 90% of his games in solo q. But he did so without consent from his team and he spent most of his matches outside of bot lane, leaving the adc to fend for themselves. It made for a bad experience for his allies regardless of the outcome and he was reported for it so many times that his account received a ban.

If the trolls are a substantial portion of the player base, as you say they are, then riot can't afford to punish them because they're a substantial portion of the player base...

However, they aren't new players. Most people who troll are experienced players. Riot has screwed up their game so much that people would rather troll or feed, because it's more satisfying to do than actually struggling to win. Riot has turned their players into these trolls, so I doubt that riot will shoot their own feet no matter how many times you ask them to do so.
