gonna post my last 15games to show there is a SERIOUS problem with trolls and afking in low level.

game 1, gragas was mad that i went off meta top, afked at 6 mins, came back at 16 mins, proceeded to just stand still in lane, and dance for the rest of the game while denying every surrender attempt

game 2, yi dies at top, bot, and then to jg camp. afks. we lose hard because of it.

game 3 and 4 were normal games.

game 5 troll mundo support that inted all game, leading to adc also feeding.

game 6, tryndamere gets mad that he lost lane and didn't get help, decides to never help with teamfights ever, and refuses every surrender vote along with 1 other.

game 7 bot lane loses, so they decide to start inting, and spamming surrender votes even though for the first 20 minutes of the game we were still ahead.

game 8-11 were normal games where nobody afked, or was toxic.

game 12 MF intentional feeding at bot, also spent his time denying draven farm because he didnt want to supp.

game 13 normal game, everyone just had a bad game. nobody to blame here.

game 14 bot lane was tilting eachother to the point that both of them stopped trying at 20 mins, and we lost despite having a fed mid and top.

game 15 we won, and nobody trolled the game, but people were trolling in champ select banning showed picks.

SEVEN of my last FIFTEEN games have been adversely affected by afks, inters, or just straight up trolls.

this is what the low level experience is like. and it's fucking ridiculous. meanwhile, i have to sit there and watch all this happen without saying a word, because otherwise i get reported for toxic for JUSTIFIABLY being angry about SEVEN OF MY LAST 15 GAMES HAVING OBVIOUS TROLLS.

you know what the worst part is? it's gonna take me EXTREMELY long to hit level 30 if this pace continues. so i'm gonna be stuck in a VERY LONG period of getting trolled until i can just go into fk ranked where people take it more seriously

As an off meta player myself, I was trolled more in p1/d5 elo than in silver/gold. Yes low elo flame in champ select a lot but then they usually play, well maybe its because I usually get a first blood or double kill on talon botlane...

In p1/d5 lot of supports just refuse to play with me, they either straight up trolling and going into another lane (either from lvl 1 or after we lose first 2vs2 no matter whose fault it was or after we get ganked and die) or they take doran ring and taking cs because "fk you not gonna support talon/teemo/etc". I don't even count the ammount of games where I lock in sona/soraka/zilean for bottom and they pick marksman because "we cannot win without adc", in these cases i say nothing and just playing support and just endure it...

Of course, they never dodge.

Anyway I am playing on EUNE server so maybe this differs in NA...

its just so frustrating because 7 of my games that i lost, we dont even know if we would've lost had everyone tried their best and not quit. so DUMB.

As you see in above comment. Some players feels that if you play off-meta they are not only allowed but obligated to screw you for it.

Reporting doesn't help, I mean I saw instant feedback report many times during this season, but this is a collective mentality that individual punishments won't fix.

I can offer only these advices:

  • get yourself a premade that believes in you and your ability to pull off your pick, announcing you are premades usually makes the other players in lobby think that you have some strategy up, aka "he wouldn't duo with him if it wouldn't work"
  • play FLEX not SOLOQ, FLEX is a bit more relaxed and players don't mind off meta as much
  • other than that, either play meta or you have to endure it and climb regardless :/

pretty much this. but even when duoing you still have to deal with jungler refusing to help if you're lucky enough to get bottom/support. if you get support and your duo gets a solo lane then you're screwed because off meta junglers dont get leashes, off meta supports get blamed for the bottoms deaths, off meta marksmen get no support. off-meta mid and top are the easiest to get away with because you can self-manage if your champ is good at 2v1's. with bottom/support it's often 3v1 and with jungle it's sometimes 5v1.

i will say only one of my games was off meta. the other ones i was playing on meta, or close to it. still afkers, ragers, feeders, inters, etc.

Don't worry i just had a kayn trolling the game because i told him to start raptors and not red buff. I was urgot top vs teemo and didnt want teemo to push me in. Result of me doing that was chain killing teemo whenever he entered lane unfortunately that snowflake got hurt so much by not starting red buff that he throws the game-

This would all make sense if you didnt add the "itll take me so long to hit level 30" at the end, so this next part is based off of my thought that you havent played ranked yet.

Dont worry about norms. Honestly. People fuck around in norms because those games hardly matter. Ranked is different usually. I hit a troll once every like 10-15 games. If my team feeds in a ranked game its usually because theyre just bad and dont have enough game knowledge and/or experience.

Dont stress about norms, and its hard to level up in general. Itll take time, and please oh please do not jump into ranked right at level 30. It messes up our entire game lmao.

Out of these games. 5 and 6 had feeders in.

Game 1 and 2 I just played poorly and deserved to lose.

Rest were ok.

Sorry my dude. This is pretty much what a lot of low level players have to deal with. It can really ruin the game experience for them. :( and it makes it hard to get new players invested.

yeah, its crazy. after tis post, i got the same super toxic mid twice on my team, and in both games he was so toxic he made our respective top/jg quit. then we matched against him the next game, and he was so toxic he tilted that team into losing too.

he's gotten reports in 3 straight games, and still no punishment notification. its crazy.

I actually have seen far more afkers and trolls in ranked than I do in norms. Most games I play in norm, people are having fun and trying new things and it is expected. Ranked, people go insane if you pick off-meta, and then the second someone gets behind they spam surrender even if there is a decent chance to win still because they just want to play more games to grind LP. I find people take themselves far too serious and then do worse than they probably should in ranked.

I learned to not even tell people when I am in promos, because I have had people throw the game just to screw me. The reality is the toxicity is everywhere in this game. Just do your best no matter what and don't worry about other people, and then you can have some fun games where sometimes you pull off a 4v5 despite the troll.

Riot's got a pretty good system for detecting smurfs and mostly matching them with other smurfs

You're getting matched with people who are banned or tilted. Obviously you're gonna have a bad time
