Hovering, or showing what champion you intend on playing, should prevent anyone on your team from banning that respective champion.
People should be encouraged to show their champs to help in cooperative team building, and not have to risk being trolled by their own teammates.
This just happened to me, in promos, and it's not the first time... nor is it the first time I have suggested this. Meh.
Okay picture this, You are trying to play some super broken champion, lets say...Galio for this example. You click on Galio before your team start banning and Galio isn't banned on either team. You are third to pick your champion but the enemy mid laner is first, he picks Galio. Now you have to make a decision on what to play since Galio is taken right now. See the problem? Your teams mindset is probably "If this champion gets in the game and isn't on our team, we are F U C K E D" So it's safer to ban the champion before the enemy team has a chance.
Now if you are implying your team is purposefully banning every champion you pick without that champion being god tier or even in the meta rn, then there's nothing that could happen to change that, since it would be super hard to tell whether or not the your team is trying to troll or legitimately ban someone they think they will have trouble with.
Here’s a big thing. Lets say that you don’t have a PBE account and Zoe it’s live servers tomorrow. You have enough BE to buy her, so you do. Now you hop into a ranked game and hover Zoe. I could care less how broken she was on PBE. You have never played her, and she will most likely get banned from your team because they don’t want you playing a champion for the first time.
