Optimize chests to give skins for champions I actually play

Almost everything I have got from opening a chest is for champions I have NEVER played. It's a big let down, opening chest's only to receive a Talon skin, when I've never played him in my life.

You're getting it for free I would stop complaining after all Riot gives away a portion of their revenue by implementing those chests.

Getting a skin for a champ you never play is part of the fun. You can either disenchant it to save up orange essence for something better down the road or take a chance and get it for the sake of it being free. Just got myself a Dragon Knight Mordekaiser. I don't play him, like, at all but it's really cool and in 3 years when he gets a VGU, it'll be awesome.

and when u do get one for a champ you own, would u rather melt down a bunch of shards for champs u own, or a bunch of shards for champs u don't own?

just got a rare lux skin after 5 other skin shards

That just means the system is working as Riot intended. Just don't worry about it. It's not meant to give you stuff you like, its just there to entice people because its free stuff.

EDIT: It's basically just another gambling feature to get money from suckers that don't have patience or an itch to scratch.
