What do I need to get an s- on Poppy top lane

I've been playing Poppy for a bit less then a year and I plane on maining her alone side with maybe shen if I ever buy him and yorick. So I wanted to get level 7 poppy but the only actual S- I have ever gotten with poppy in all the games I have ever played with her was in a Ascension game and I got 9/6/21 so ive been trying to get exactly that score but its a bit hard so any tips on getting a s on a tank,and I know I may suck at poppy but I dont do crap every single game

Step 1: Dominate lane Step 2: Buy into damage ( item 3071 item 3142 ) Step 3: Mastery Lvl 7 I play poppy a lot and I happen to have mastery Lvl 7 on her, and that's usually the process I follow.

yea. item 3078 item 3071 are common on the better poppys i play against.

Yea. keep in mind she's meant to be a "warden" style tank (she peels for your carries rather than engages the fights, like shen) so you have to play like a "vanguard" (an engage tank like nautilus) or a "tanky fighter" (imagine a wukong with 1-2 damage item and 5 armor/mr tank items) to get it.

Poppy can initiate against squishies and can burst them down if they step out of position. You do however, have the option to sit back and peel for your carries. It really depends on what the team needs. Usually, I get a lead, help out the other lanes, make picks, and end the game before my damage falls off. (Poppy's damage falls off in the ultra-late game, but she still has very good tankiness and CC at that time too.)

Trinity force is good, but not great. The sheen proc can be nice, but everything else feels like a waste. Mana is not really a concern for me, I get more AD from Black Cleaver, the same amount of CDR, and save about 700 gold through a Black Cleaver purchase. She does not really have any on hit effects to buff up that attack speed that trinity force gives, and it's expensive. If I wanted more damage after a Black Cleaver, item 3142 is the way to go. Armor pen is REALLY good on Poppy, plus the movespeed can set up wall slams. Also, been meaning to experiment with item 3800 . Feel like the movespeed in conjunction with a wall slam could make for a really good initiation.
