Skarners current state is aweful.
This was brought to my attention when I was scrolling through op.gg and I saw skarner. He’s literally played so little they can’t even Mia stats on him. Was wondering if this would be fixed or what.

They are currently working on buffs on the PBE. They seem pretty nice and they come with some QoL
He was nerfed pretty hard when they made it so steraks gives bonus ad instead of base ad to stop it from synergizing with trinity.
Riot`s reasoning for that is they don't want those 2 items to combo...that's literally it...
And they apparently assumed it wouldn't affect any champion negatively since putting bonus ad on it means it will scale on their abilities instead....except skarner`s q scales with TOTAL ad....(Base + bonus)
So all that change did was cause him to lose out on sheen damage which he is dependent on and his q damage remained the same.
