Skarners current state is aweful.

This was brought to my attention when I was scrolling through op.gg and I saw skarner. He’s literally played so little they can’t even Mia stats on him. Was wondering if this would be fixed or what.

They are currently working on buffs on the PBE. They seem pretty nice and they come with some QoL

These "buffs" are simply QoL changes for his first clear and thats about it. and thats ONLY if he does a full clear first.

He was nerfed pretty hard when they made it so steraks gives bonus ad instead of base ad to stop it from synergizing with trinity.

Riot`s reasoning for that is they don't want those 2 items to combo...that's literally it...

And they apparently assumed it wouldn't affect any champion negatively since putting bonus ad on it means it will scale on their abilities instead....except skarner`s q scales with TOTAL ad....(Base + bonus)

So all that change did was cause him to lose out on sheen damage which he is dependent on and his q damage remained the same.

RIOT really screwed Skarner up after they changed him to be a juggernaut, then realized he didnt fit their description of a juggernaut at all, then nerfed him...

He has base damages like a carry, aka, they are low. He has AD/AP scaling like a tank, also pretty bad overall. He isn't much tankier than a typical bruiser/fighter, but he is less tanky than a real tank. He also has no %HP damage in his kit to make up for it. Skarner is a cc- threat and thats about it.

This is why no one but the few masochists (like me) actually play him. #Imissmykind #reworkpls.
