Balance is a joke. The community is as awful as ever. The new queue is frustrating and sucks what little fun there was to be had in matches. High Elo play is trashed and the E-sports scene is pretty bad... and will likely stay that way.
Go on... tell me. What do you think is being done WELL with the game right now? I'm honestly curious.
Róok5 votesI am not here to put down your opinion, but merely disagree with it. I think being able to isolate which role you get in queue is fantastic. I'd also would like to get more clarity about high elo play being trashed. And do you honestly feel like every match in the E-sports scene is horrid? I've seen some decent matches (not in the EU scene) but I wouldn't put down the pros who clearly have made it while the rest of the community struggles to climb out of bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond. The fact of the matter is, League is designed to be a challenging game for players as a whole and as individuals. Riot constantly tweaks and gets players' opinions on what they need to fix. Now, the value of that opinion is honestly based on what you give to the community. Riot will not listen to mindless rants of what you think is wrong with their game. At the end of the day, they're going to improve it for the players that do more than just play their one trick pony champ.
Furthermore, you can't have everyone be a Master Tier Player + at this game. It just doesn't work that way. But that is what makes the game awesome. They separate those who are actually good and those who cannot accept they hit their glass ceiling and will not improve. Everyone who plays this game has something to work on...even the pros. The reason the community is bad is because people in life generally are. If everyone was happy and ready to improve at what they're not good at...well, League would be perfect. But instead we are community full of rage quitters and players who cannot accept being incorrect. I'm just pointing these things out because I love this game. I've played it for years. I wish all players cared about each other and saw that we all want to be the best (yes yes, like no one ever was) but sometimes, you have to take your losses. You have to look at how to get better as both a League of Legends player and a person.

Team builder was fucking garbage because no one played it, because you couldn't counter your laning opponent or ban champions. Which is to say, it was just garbage overall.

What you say is demagogic but not true: -the teambuilder allowed for better "role isolation" while having sensibly identical waiting times; -high elo is trashed because of the dynamic queue matchmaking system for high elo players; -"some decent matches" where it should be (and was) almost every match; -" Riot constantly tweaks and gets players' opinions on what they need to fix. I don't even need to explain this point (the "listening to player opinon part", they do tweak the game) ^^
I love this game too, I'm a support main and honestly am good at teamplay. I suck at this game also, I lost almost all placement matches. But guess what? I was a Mordekaiser main. The only reason I only play support is that I'm not able to have fun anywhere else anymore (CertainlyT :'( :'( ) precisely because of Riot not listening to feedback at all. They do lots of good things. We're not creating a post about it because the simple fact of us playing the game means we love those changes. We do posts to say what doesn't please us, and these posts are outright ignored. And to end my post: looking to improve yourself is a basic mechanic in LoL. Not doing it just makes you totally stagnate.

Which reminds me, they gave turrets resistances and buffed their damage so no more paper turrets.
