can you explain me on this example why one game is "s" and another "a"?

i am genuinely curious

checking through my match history i found this little puzzle and i still cannot guess it fully

i got "s-" for this game: http://matchhistory.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/EUW1/2952287022/40508454?tab=overview

and got "a" or even "a-" (definitely not "a+") for this: http://matchhistory.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/EUW1/2951080454/40508454?tab=overview

for me they look exactly the same, the same champion, kda, farm, kill participation, wards... the "a" grade one is possibly even better, i got 50% of team kills there instead of 33% and had far better damage than anybody on my team while in the "s" grade one i did less damage than yasuo, also in the "a" grade game i placed 2 more wards; i had 1 kill and 1 assist less in the grade "a" game but then, i also got "s-" for 9/0/0 ahri game before that (on a loss too), so 9/0 is ok for "s" on ahri...

possibly it's still farm, the grade "s" game had it 134/22:24 = 5.98 cs/min and the grade "a" 127/24:10 = 5.25 cs/min which noticeably worse... (the 9/0/0 game had it 6.36 cs/min)

p.s. alternatively it can be building takedowns, i got 2 towers and an inhib in the "s" game and nothing in the "a" game, but i still think it's likely cs/min

I went 5-6-11 with Ahri got a S- under 200 farm

I went 9-3-11 as Mundo got an A+ above 200 farm

Idk

It's likely not CS per minute as almost all diamond plus players would out CS you without being fed (unless the ranks are based on elo ratings). I honestly think you shouldn't even bother thinking about it as it would be too difficult to figure out. When I look at stats to see how good a player is I look at GPM, KP, KDA and Damage Dealt. If anything, I think its likely a combination of these.

I don't think Riot has an Average per Grade, they just compare you with the current S ranks out there and don't even tell you what you did better or worse in comparison to them.

The difference between A & B are so small, it's hard to pinpoint really what could have been differently besides "Being better"

beats me.

Time of victory matters a ton. The longer the game goes, the more lopsided your score needs to be to get an S. You can get an S with average scores in a 20 minute game. You'll need to go something like 17/1 to get an S in a 40+ minute game.

It's true that diamonds get S much regularly than the rest but what my point was trying to get at was that CS doesn't seem to be the deciding factor. If we're looking at it from that perspective, GPM is a much better statistic as junglers and supports don't nearly get as much as CS as laners do. Farm is likely seen as a heavy factor as it is a general indication of how you are doing in the game compared to everyone else.

This is all speculation and my thoughts so I could very well be wrong.
