Listen to Pings!

I have noticed a critical error in many games lately, and as a support its severely frustrating for me to do my job because of one thing: my ADC is not listening to my pings. Danger! Danger! Back up! PING! And there's Yi. And now you're dead. "OMG WHY DID YOU HEAL ME USELESS SUPP!" Well, our bush ward just faded, my item was on CD, I was oom, and I was falling back because we were way over-extended. I pinged 3 times for you to fall back. You didn't. I'm tired of having to pop everything in my repertoire to save my ADC just by the skin of their teeth. Sometimes I feel like I'm with a child wielding a fork and my job is to keep them from sticking it into a light socket.

Now, I'm not spamming my pings. I will ping once. 5 seconds go by maybe, I'll ping again. Still nothing. Okay, ping ping. Nothing. AAAAAND there's mid and jungler and you're dead. Even in late game it becomes almost an even bigger problem, if anyone on the team is fed suddenly they think it's a 1-man show and they think they can 1v5 the entire team. No amount of pings will matter. They will dive in, no back up nearby, no plan, no supp, no tank with them... and die. Then rage and blame and tilt. What is it with this? Are all league tiers like this?

Dear my lovely ADCs: I love playing support, but I can't help if you never listen to me. I'm here to keep you alive, and you're making it extremely difficult for me. If I'm too busy baby sitting you from killing yourself, I can't focus on poking, harassing, ccing and getting you fed.

Maybe there's another way that I'm missing? But since no one I play with has discord, is seems pings fall on deaf ears. Is there a simpler way that I'm missing?
