"It's Bronze, what you expect?" Toxicity

Is this the new code of ethics for League? Being Bronze just means you can be a mega-jerk? I get toxicity is a part of the game, unfortunately, but what I don't follow is just EXPECTING to be treated like garbage because of a certain tier one's in. Negative attitude is in every tier, but saying it's OK to be a horrible person JUST because it's bronze isn't going to make the gameplay better, or help you get out.

As a support I experience a lot of abuse, and usually from my ADC. If I dare even REQUEST they retreat, because JG is MIA, I'm OOM, and our lane is pushed out, I am usually slapped with "know ur place support" Like I'm a slave, and not a teammate.

I'll literally have adcs demand I follow them, and ONLY them around the map like a dog "because thats my job", god forbid I leave lane, while enemy jg is dead and we are pushed out, so I can ward enemy jg and dragon, or roam to mid. When I report later, the typical response is, "Well what did you expect? It's bronze." I'm bronze, and I don't talk to people this way, and being a lower skill tier level doesn't give access passes to being a jerk. If anything, you should be 10x more humble. I love this game, I love playing support, but I've literally noticed a decline in teamwork, communication, and just manners. Maybe because it's school break? Who knows.

Are other teirs like this? A lot of my friends are Gold and Plat, and when I play with them I never experience this kind of in-team trash talk, or All-Chat. The worst I've seen is ";) gotee".

Silver's the worst imo. A bunch of egos high on "Well I'm not bronze so I'm great at the game" juice.

InAfterEveryoneSaysTheirBracketIsWorse: Again, its not. People can leave your bracket in two directions. Until we actually get a Wood Division, stfu.

The level of toxicity is a Riot problem. Here's a position I refuse to budge on: If you continue to make Normals "Ranked-lite" then Riot asks people to be toxic.

This is the mentality people have because pros either don't acknowledge that tier (they always refer to Silver like its the lowest tier), or say Bronze is "special circumstance" player territory. Some pros like to make climbing smurfs to show how easy it is to clear Bronze, despite the fact their already-high prowess proves nothing, coupled with the simple RNG of matchmaking.

Yes every tier is like this to some degree. You got to stop being so mentally weak. It would help you if you learned your role so well where YOU can be the assertive one. If your ADC ignores you and continues to trash you, just mute them and help somewhere else on the map. Especially since the ADC will do bad whether you are there or not with that attitude.

Try to ward for your mid lane or jungler. Follow your jungler. Maybe you can even go top lane. Now, don't just sit top lane. But if it looks like your top laner is about to get the tier 1 turret, you might be all that your top laner needs to push it down so that your top laner can roam elsewhere on the map.
