is just painful. You have to rely on others to make all the plays because your Q and E are ridiculisly easy to dodge.

That is because Soraka is not an initiating support. If you want one of those....go with leona or thresh Soraka is a utility support that lets her teammates do the hard work and engage while she follows up with equinox and keeps her team strong with her unmatched sustain. The Q is meant to be a poke/replenish and gives her counterplay. The E is best as a followup cc or as a disengage. It is like a small version of monsoon...allies back off from where u cast it.
yup thats why i killed most people with my eq combo in teamfights so meh if you can predict where they will go you can hit them easily
Use E to zone and counter. Don't try to force it on them. And remember, the closer you are, the faster the q falls. Still, she is not an initiator like many other supports. Her response to initates can be quite devastating, however.
Q travel time decreases with distance to destination.
Soraka's job isn't to make plays, it's to prevent them.
