One Disconnect, Five low priority games?

I was disconnected half way through a ranked game last night. It was on my internet providers side, not mine. I get punished for nearly 2 hours for one infraction? My team mates were losing, and I was there for most of the game. That was the first time I DC during a game this season.

I don't intentionally leave, even if I've occasionally threatened to do so when games get really toxic.

I guess this isn't the worst punishment, but with a game that already takes a ton of time, this feels pretty harsh. It's going to take me a lot of willpower to play league, when the next couple sessions will be interlaced with 2 hours of waiting on top of what is already an arduously time consuming que/pick/ban process.

I would rather be banned for a couple days or even lose 4 games worth of MR and LP and have my team-mates loss forgiven.

Based on the FAQ which states that after the FIRST disconnect, you get a warning... looks like you must have disconnected several times and within your probation period after leavebuster first hit your account.

5 low priority games, is 100 minutes,

If you say you've been hit by 5 low priority games with 100 minutes, that means you've had 20 min punishments.

Lowest tier leave buster punishment is 5 min, second tier is 10 min, and highest tier punishment is 20 min.

You've progressed through 5 min and 10 min punishments in low priority queue. You've had prior warnings with other leave buster low priority queues.

You can look at my match history/replays.

Pretty sure someone in another game reported me afk when I wasn't, and when I disconnect, the false combined with the actual leave made the system punish me.

Not having a second on match history doesn't really prove anything and you know how many hours it takes to take a look at every single replay? like you could of been doing a lot of rage quitting and all a month ago.

You simply don't get low priority punishment for 1 disconnect, period. We are not getting the full story here.

I don't have the full story either. I got no warnings or evidence (showing what I was punished for) from riot. Just because I don't think I deserve the penalty doesn't mean it's true. From a purely pragmatic point of view, 5 low priority games, is 100 minutes, which is 25 minutes of time for each player I abandoned, which is probably about of the amount of their time I wasted by disconnecting (even if I don't think the I changed the outcome of the game).

I'm just saying, from my perspective, from what I remember and from my match history, this punishment seems out of left field.

This is one of the problem with their automated system. I can't see what behaviors specifically led to my penalty beyond my DC last night. Attempting to calculate someones guilt through numbers and metrics leads to fringe scenarios like this. Perhaps a few disgruntled players reported me for taking a bathroom break during the end of their toxic feedfest of a game. Perhaps it was the game where trist reported me afk for not suiciding in a last stand with her.

I'm pretty sure it was salty players giving false or misleading reports, and then actually DCing put me over the edge. This is what happens when you attempt to determine someone guilt on metrics and point systems alone.

I'm not completely innocent, I did disconnect from a game once. I have occasionally (if not quite rarely), and with great discretion, walked away from the keyboard, but never long enough to get the pop up warning. I have no other major violations besides the DC last night.
