43% Win Rate Ryze Getting Nerfed?

Ryze, who is 43% win rate (the worst out of all 140 champions) is getting nerfed on PBE for 8.8. -Ryze E: Mana cost 40 --> 60 at Lv1 -Archangels Mana to AP Conversion Rate 3% --> 1%

I really don't care if Ryze is picked in the LCS... stop nerfing him. Other people play him too.

I suggest Riot does 2 things 1: Balance the game for the regular players (Ignore LCS balance) 2: Implement a mechanic that forces LCS champion diversity to make it more fun to watch. This will give better game balance the regular players and also more champion diversity at the pro scene. (a win-win)

the problem being that lcs and us average joes play in two different worlds, and they therefore cant simultaneously balance both. buffing a champ for us could potentially break it where people know how to play, and vice versa for nerfs.

Because, despite that 43%, he's still OP in higher tier.

And, besides: The number of people that want to play Ryze are far, far, far, far lower than the number of people that hate playing against him. He's basically a ranged Garen: There's nothing to beat in his kit. The only way to beat him is to stat-check him. You can't outplay his W, you can't outplay his E, and those two mean you can't outplay his Q. His R is the only thing in his kit you can outplay, and only by either bursting the fuck out of him, CCing him, or forcing him to use Zhonya's.

If you look at Diamond players (top 1% of players) Ryze's win rate right now on 8.7 is 48% and he's ranked champion #124/140. In Platinum Ryze is 46% win rate ranked #137/140.

And this is before the 2x 8.8 nerfs.

People need to do a little homework before repeating phrases they hear on the forums like "Ryze is OP in high tier play". "High tier" is an ambiguous term and the statement is factually not true (if you consider Plat/Diamond to be high-tier). However this incorrect statement keeps being repeated on the forums.

The problem with Ryze goes beyond nerfs/buffs. His kit is just dumb. The ONLY outplay mechanic he has was his completely LCS related ult. Otherwise the rest of his kit is a minigame. And I dare you to get anything lower than Plat to coordinate in solo Q on using his ult correctly. Ryze's ult is a Glorified Tahm Kench ult, but can take multiple people.

Ryze's old ult was WAY more fun. It was a AP bruiser. They just need to rework him again.

Just disable Ryze he's always been unfun to play in every fucking way and every fucking season Rework after rework he's always retarded and annoying as fuck, might as well put a pole up my ass instead of laning against him since it's the same thing.

Click on your own link and read the first sentence. "Ryze has a win rate 46.37% for Platinum+ players whilst..."

If you look at an average of ALL players and Ryze bounces between 43-44% (I saw 43%on op.gg and posted screenshot and just looked and Ryze is 44% on the the sight you just linked for Bronze+) https://imgur.com/a/ClG2W

So yes 43% on average.

My point is this. Only 0.03% of players are challenger. If you average the rest of us (the other 99.97% Bronze - Diamond) Ryze has an average win rate of 43% and is the worst out of all 140 champions (it fluctuates... today he's 44% and #138/140). Even in this state of literally being the worst champion in the game Riot continue to nerf him (2x nerfs upcoming on 8.8) because he's picked in LCS. As a Ryze player this sucks.

Ryze has counterplay. E is undodgable, but most ranged champs out range that, plus side stepping the Q makes his E basicaly worthless, yes he could WEQ you but then you can move again in less than a second, thats like letting a brand pull off a combo, you can totally go in on him afterwards if he cant kill you with autos.
