Yorick minion targeting really annoying, and why ghouls dont do spell effects?

 I used to really love yorick , but right now i am having a few problems with his ghouls and maiden. Their will be times where i will land an e on an enemy they will leap at them but then proceed to hit minions by them. it also doesnt seem like they prioritize champions the way zyra/shaco/heim do. another problem i have is the maiden is awesome i love it, but their is so many times it just kinda derps around not knowing who to hit. was their reason they didnt make it like tibbers/daisy. where you can move it and tell it to target things. I understand maybe it might be because of the no leash range but make it where he has to be in a certain range to control or even better make it where he can just control it. you split top its bot then tell it to go mid as your going mid. having something cool like that would be awesome. 

  ghouls and spell effects. From what i can tell they proc lifesteal and they proc black cleaver "thats just bcause all physical dmg does". but can someone tell me the reasoning why ghouls dont proc dft? Liandry's? Even the Summoned minion 20% slow on rylais? i really dont wanna run grasp od undying on yorick it just feels meh, I used to run fervor but not sure after changes. dft would be great on him and I don't even believe it would be broken just make it so they do what zyra/heim/shaco/malz. pets already do.
