Weird trend in Nunu's playrate

If you look here: http://www.lolking.net/champions/nunu#statistics at Nunu's playrate while he was on the free rotation last week you can see that his playrate actually went down from before the free rotation. The exact change for each day is:

0.00% -2.15% -2.28% -1.52% -0.96% -2.38% -2.12% -2.80% -2.99% Starting at day 0 (Monday) and going to day 8 (Tuesday after)

None of the other champions in the past 3 months I've been collecting data have dropped all 7 days they were on the free rotation. Some drop on Day 8 (After the rotation has ended) but none have dropped every day. Does anybody on the gameplay boards have any theories for why that would happen? It can't just be from random chance, that's too big and consistent of a drop to be classified under random chance.

Would this have coincided with Strenght of the Ages being replaced by Courage of the Colossus, perhaps?

It did, however this is the playrate, not the winrate. I don't think the Nunu mains who played Nunu before he was on the rotation would just stop playing him because of the change. He only had an overall ▲WinRate change of around -1%, better than most on the rotation.

My guess is that most people own him because he's so cheap so once the new free champions come up no new people are playing him and the people that do play him decide to play other champions that are free

But when Sivir was on the free rotation she had an ▲PlayRate change of +.54%. It just isn't sitting right that it would happen to Nunu but not to Sivir.

Sivir saw professional play so that may be the reason for that and the jungle was just changed and a lot of people are apprehensive about playing jungle after several changes to it
