That seems a bit unnecessary
Nidalee Prowl (Passive) Triggering a hunt on a neutral monster no longer roots it for 2 seconds.
Why?

We're looking to reduce Nidalee's jungle dominance, she's out the point where she's pushing out other champions. Initial reaction to testing on the Prowl not rooting monsters change is that it may be too large a hit. We'll be trying a version where traps root monsters but spears don't next.

I am curious if this keeps her from being a top pick or from being as dominate as she is now is there any chance at getting her back to having a better lanning phase?
Possibly. We like the idea of helping lane Nid out a bit, first priority's getting her jungle under control though, then we can assess whether there are ways to add laning power that don't create jungle issues (or places where we can remove additional jungle specific power and then add in general power).

Are you serious? Lane nid? You don't a lot of things that don't make no sense to me. Like buffing ekko AGAIN, and nerfing Lux in the one area that won't affect her absurd damage.
Also nerfing TF, after years of him being the same you throw down a nerf on him. Can't we please get a dam buff on him, or give a rework? Hell tf's Q could be targeted and I still feel he'd be weaker than a lot of other midlaners, Aurelion can do pretty much what he does, while being able to stun a group of enemies, but down heavier consistent damage and is a much safer laner. Plz buff tf

You must be a terrible TF if you think he's below average as he is.

Indeed, getting 20+ kills while under 10 deaths is petty af. One another note I don't think he needs an increase in damage but a bit of defensive utility smuggled in somewhere. Me doing well with TF is extremely dependent on my lane matchup and that sucks because all the popular picks for mid pretty much hard counter him. It isn't fair that he gets countered by anyone with a gap closer. It's spell that probably on 3 quarter's of the champs in the lol roster. Aurelion has a stun and a knockback and can kite ppl with his expanded W.
Look at it this way, even viktor gets a bit of mov speed and shielding from his Q. A change like that would be great for TF.

well I am happy to hear that its a possibility. I think something like buffing the ad on her cougar Q would be something that wouldnt affect her jungle to much (doubt anyone would play her ad there) or maybe changing her base ad and attack speed back

i have suggested this countles times but if you could make nids traps do her post rework % hp while staying capped vs monsters at her current values it would VASTLY help her laning phase.. that change alone totally killed support nidalee.
nids traps were were already capped at 200 damage vs monsters when they did % HP all we really need to do is lower the cap vs monsters at each level to its current level.
also gicing her vision on trap placement would also tremendously help.
also i don't know WHEN this got changed (it might have been during her rework) but i definitely remember being able to detect stealthed champ with my traps. it was a tactic i put to much use vs akali mid lane.. i would just lay a trap in her bubble and if she stepped on it she would show.. i know for a fact this doesn't work anymore.
and JUST FYI to people who don't know anything about nid... EVERYTHING i have said has already existed on nid before. and ALL if it existed during a stage were she wasn't in jungle and WASN'T considered "OP" so don't tell me re-adding them would suddenly "make her op"

Look into reverting the R change. She feels insanely clunky right now and she loses a lot of damage on her first clear. She feels horrible to play.

What about the removal of auto attack reset from shape shifting?
Honestly the other way would be better, because while it makes less sense logically, it would only make her clear MORE efficient since the traps have substantially lower mana costs, so while it makes clearing a bit more of a pain, it leaves her with more mana for ganking or invading post-clear, meaning MORE jungle dominance and ganking power. Recommendation: up the mana cost on spear.

That seems like a better and more thematic change. Also, can't we expect some sort of twisted fate buff this next patch? He just feels out ruled by other lanes and everyone seems to forget that ppl can just pick up teleport and do what he can while still having a dmg ultimate.
Could you increase Nautilus's Riptide damage to monsters by some percent to make up for the deserved lane nerf?
O so now nid will actually take some damage in the jungle and not rip through her side and and the opponents side? What a shame....
She already has a heal, let her take some more damage.
Taking away the root is just too much. Forget "take more damage", she will either have to recall midway through her first clear or risk execution.
On par with pulling some shit like "
Shield no longer blocks damage from jungle creeps" or "
can no longer proc his W on monsters" or "
heals 25% against non champions"
She has a heal built right into her kit. She can heal her self up, maybe she should start at the blu instead of a minor camp, if she needs the mana for the healing .
Her heals are on high cooldown and they won't even be enough at all at low levels, considering they scale with AP. It's like Yi's W but with 1/5 the heal.
not that high
Not low enough to give her decent sustain
She's the top jungler in diamond+, other regions and pro play. Ofc she'd get hit. But this nerf seems too heavy.
Ouch That's gonna make those first clears alot harder
I expect them to put it at 1 sec. They always do extreme things for testing :P
Oh god, rip nid's early game jungle. This is going to be disgusting.
cuz koreans
I don't see how this is going to lower her dominance.
High elo will be able to play around this no problem, might take some adjustment, but she's going to be fine in that area of competitive play, she'll probably just start blue instead of gromp so she can get the heals going faster and more consistently, but her presence will remain the same in higher elo's -- the area which she has proven to be a problem.
The only thing this is doing is raising what is already one of the highest skill floors on a champion even higher for lower elo's, where she's not a problem, precisely because she's so difficult to use on her first set of clears.
I understand the need to tone her down, but this nerf just targets her early game, which is already so damn weak as it is, its not going to fix anything.
----Doesn't play Nidalee----
i feel like the real problem is nidalees ability to stay out in the jungle...so would a nerf to the heal be on the table instead of the root? or i read somewhere that the scuttler is on a different code then neutral monsters are so maybe taking away the root on scuttler would be better? its just really hard as it is to do the first couple camps is nid as it is it doesn't make since to take away her way of actually kiting the camps... idk just spit balling im a bronzee so dont mind me im prob barking up the wrong tree...
no more lv1 camp full hp clear
