You ever play a game that's emotionally exhausting but you're still determined to win?

So I queue up for solo ranked thinking "I'm gonna try and raise my mmr so I don't get placed back in bronze come season 6." I'm first pick blue side and pick Shen cause I don't want to get counter picked. Picks go by and when we get to the last 2 on my team, 4th pick wants to be the adc, but 5th pick wants to as well. After almost having locking in Lucian , 5th pick last second changes and we ended up with a Nidalee "support". We got into game and it turns out the other team had a similar issue (welcome to silver). MissFortune mid and Swain support. Time goes by and bot starts losing lane. This makes it so our jungler and adc think it's okay to hate on Nidalee. Meanwhile, I was constantly telling our adc to get item 3123 cause they had both DrMundo and Swain . 20 minutes hits and our team wants to surrender. Someone else and I voted no, and I was fairly certain that someone was going to afk. We were pushed to our inhib turrets and we had only taken two of their turrets.

Then a miracle happened.

The enemy team got dragon because we were busy defending. They went bot lane and forced us into a 4v5. Their health was at around 75% from drag, and we managed to get a clean (almost) ace on them. I'm not sure about my teammates, but I felt a huge morale boost after that fight. We started picking better fights that ended up in fewer casualties for us (Shen taunt + thornmail OP). At about 35 minutes, we decide to get baron, but we backed off after someone said it was warded. This caused the other team to head towards baron to prevent us from getting it. We ended up baiting their team into a fight where we could exploit how spread out they were. We get an ace and push nexus for the win. I was so relieved to see the victory screen. I also had a nice chat with their Mundo afterwards because apparently his team was blaming him for not doing damage.

Moral of the Story: Don't give up and play Shen more often.

And it took 39 (out of 41) minutes for someone to build executioner's calling, and it was our mid laner.
