Jungle items at tier 2 had 1 stealth ward charge, like the last tank jungle item from season 4. But cost more gold to complete. Jungle gold is decent but falling behind sucks, if you have a sweeper you cant place wards. And if you do place wards you are sinking your gold into that and denying items/tanky gear to try and stay alive.

Wards keep you alive if you're capable of looking at the map.

I never said anything about wards and how they save you, anyone that is smart checks the map. I said junglers that aren't ahead or even behind are punished because they must spend money on wards to stay safe. Buying wards over and over just denies items and gear.

Sightstone + sweeper, pays for itself in 3 wards. Ruby sightstone pays for itself in another 11 wards - without including the extra health on that upgrade.

Don't forget wards aren't exclusively for you. Wards help everyone. Buying them should never deny you items.

So I should just buy sight stone on all junglers I play now? I never see anyone else do that unless they are a blind monk that can magically dash to wards.

With the addition of Cinderhulk, it's become more effective to buy it. Anything that adds health synergizes with cinderhulk pretty well for tanky jungles.

Here's some jungles I consistently buy it on (mostly in normals and in my gold 2 account, I don't jungle in platinum - my decision making sucks too much for that) Hecarim Nidalee Rammus Sejuani Shyvana Sion Volibear

There's honestly little reason not to early on if you need the vision control, especially if your support is utterly refusing to do so - which, surprisingly enough, isn't so uncommon.

or just buy wards. They don't really impeded builds all that much, even as the adc. Now if you buy 20+ wards a game, then yeah, but otherwise a ward or two here and there doesn't really hurt.
