I hate top

For the most part, people complain about getting support or perhaps even jungle when they fill, but I have no problem with this. For me personally, I hate top. Don't feel in control of the map as much as support/jungle. TP plays are fun but are really prone to error in my experience, plus since blue-trinkets are a thing now, there is practically no-where to TP to. But that's just me.

When it comes to melee champions I just don't know when to trade, which TP would flank the fleeing team successfully, when to take dmg while CSing, should I pick a splitpusher or a peel-heavy tank? Should I pick a lane-bully against the juggernauts? Will that make the team composition weaker since the team lacks a tank?

Any tips specifically for players forced to go top?
