"REPORTED"

Chill Vibez·4/21/2017, 12:27:08 AM·60 votes·3,252 views

Is anyone else getting sick and tired of hearing this anytime someone is upset, or you aren't listening to what they say, or you make a couple bad plays, etc... ??

I hate that reports have become a way to try to punish someone because you are in a bad mood , or having a bad game.

There should be punishments for false reports or something, whether or not the report does anything , it's getting irritating as hell having to worry about getting in trouble because some little kid wants to report everyone they don't like.

they don't get punished for having a bad game. if they're in a bad mood and they are being jerks to their team though, that's a different story.

false reports do nothing. If you are not breaking the rules, it doesn't matter how much you are reported, nothing will happen, so IDK what you're worried about if little kids report you if you're not doing anything wrong.

People that report because of things people say are pansies. Like grow up and learn to take it.

If you didn't do anything wrong their reports will come to nothing. Reports just flag a game to be looked at by the system, they don't actually do anything beyond that.

Nipsahoy4/21/2017, 12:43:17 AM5 votes

I second that. I mean I got caught out 1 time by over extending a hair too far and died and we didn't even lose anything and suddenly my whole team is spamming to report me in all chat for intentional feeding. Nevermind I was basically carrying at 9-3-12 on Lux.

Malicious Fury4/21/2017, 1:45:20 AM3 votes

Just respond with "muted."

Or just mute them and don't respond. Who gives a fk.

General Esdeath 4/21/2017, 1:57:25 AM2 votes

People who make reports that yield nothing too often (most people who say reported in all chat) have low credibility in their reports. So if you were someone like Dyrus who only reports people who use hate speech/int feed your report would count for 10 games of reports from people who say "gg report top" every time

Retrauk4/21/2017, 5:48:59 PM2 votes

On another note. I'm seriously not a fan of people that say. "Please report _____!" Ok, I might. Based on my own experience of what I saw in-game. (Sometimes I don't get the full story. Say it's a person on the other team that wasn't using allchat.) But if I'm going to report someone, I won't ask anyone else to do it. Do it of your own accord.

There's people that will ask you to report one of their teammates for flaming, despite that teammate doing no such thing. Which effectively means extra meaningless reports RIOT has to look through. It's even against the rules to ask for reports, yet I swear I see someone doing it every other game I'm in. It's gotten pretty ridiculous.

Lirik4/21/2017, 1:27:44 PM1 votes

thats how it worked since the start of the report option, also when the tribunal was there it was even worst because all kiddos were giving out the punishement whenever they could just because they wanted to troll, also reports dont mean anything anymore right now "god bless"

slippykitten4/21/2017, 2:54:36 PM1 votes

That's the least irritating thing about this game, because the only thing I know Riot is sure to be consistent about is totally ignoring reports.

im sorry but there is no such thing as stealing farm... people can choose to play with the meta or not.. but no where does it state that "Farm stealing" is against the rules.. also if you are on the other team and u ask me to report 1 of your teammates cause he is toxic in your own team chat i cant report him for that.. cause i cant see what he is saying.. and i wont take your word for it.. but the rest of tyhe things u said like uninstalling and telling someoen to go kill themselves ya totally reportable.. but agian if im on the other team and they dont say it in all chat i cant report..

Using "reported" or telling people to report someone is bannable and considered harassment. Just report them and don't react to the comments. They are frustrating, but it's not really worth your time anyway. You had a bad game nothing you can do about it after the fact besides try to learn from the mistakes. People that tell you to uninstall or never play x champ are usually just tools. If you looked at their match history it's probably has plenty of bad games as well.

Play your game ignore the irrelevant comments. I had a Lee Sin game the other day, admittedly it has been a while since I've played lee so my first 10 minutes was not what I wanted. After getting first blood on the enemy jungler I over reached a couple of times and got picked off because my lanes were losing and I was trying to invade (mistake on my part). Two of our players started trash talking and bitching. After the 10 minute mark I started making better plays ignoring the harassment and helped to ensure my team won the game by keeping the enemies fed renekton off our EZ. We won the game and I had a good scoreline considering my start I reported him for harassment and got instant feedback he received punishment. Had I tilted I would have not righted my ship and played my game. We would have lost and whether he was punished or not I would have been frustrated over the loss.

Online gaming has always had this problem people trash talking and insulting each other. The words have changed, but the intent is the same. They are trying to make themselves feel better by hurting others. They don't have the strength of self to just play and enjoy themselves. They are mad most of the time when they play because they tie their self worth into the video game.

I just respond with "good, that will give the Rioters a good laugh"

Bogus reports don't matter. If you aren't guilty of anything, there's nothing to worry about even if a specific player says he'll report you for something. Players who do that often just want to bait you out for a specific angry response so then they have a "valid" reason to report you for.

If the player in question is just talking his ass off and throwing "i'll report you" a lot, mute him and don't address him at all.. That's pretty much it. If you believe he was harassing you with i'll report you" comments to a point where you had to block his chat so that you could focus on gameplay, that's a report for him in my book.

Complaining about the community? REPORTED.

AdeBug4/21/2017, 6:32:35 PM1 votes

If someone is doing something wrong and are calling the police, if you know you did nothing wrong you're just gon say 'good!'. I know it's not exactly the same, as you can't have your statement taken, but if it's about chat toxicity, then more of a reason to be happy because that someone will be spotted, not you.

KoggyStyle4/21/2017, 7:37:23 PM1 votes

just say "reported for reporting" then /muteall

Fallstock4/21/2017, 8:14:38 PM1 votes

Reports are almost solely handled by an automated system which is the worst part because all of those little kids spamming "report blah blah" every game inevitably get their way in a lot of situations because of how the automated system flags players. Welcome to a free to play game filled with kids, get used to it.

I even had a guy in my team that after seeing that i wasn't answering back to his dumb flame and spam ping he started writing in all chat "Report X dude for flaming hard".

Honestly, he wanted to see me reported so badly that he even lied in all chat... That's not being "angry for a bad game" that's just being a scumbag and nothing else.

The Anagram King4/21/2017, 8:02:35 AM1 votes

If you're dying a lot so what, nothing will to you unless it is a trend and it's obvious you feed intentionally. DO NOT say anything to them, riot won't ban you for feeding but they sure as hell will ban you for harasssing a feeder or asking for reports.

I don't have this happen a lot, but when it does, it fcking tilts the sht out of me. Whether they report me or not.. doesn't matter. They've pretty much f*cked my lane for the rest of the game.

SnakDatSmilesBak4/21/2017, 12:18:18 PM1 votes

Imo this falls under harassment. It sure sounds like harassment to me and if someone kept annoying me like that I'd mute him/her and report for harassment.

However, false reports don't do anything. So, barring topics outside the scope of this thread, there's no need for a new report category as long as harassment exists.
