Getting your champ banned is not a get out of jail free card.

PSA: Just because someone accidentally (or even purposely) bans the champion you chose, it doesn't give you a free unpunished opportunity to cry and be toxic in pregame chat, and then troll in the actual game.

This has to be one of the most annoying things about the new champ select. Maybe this doesn't happen in high elo , but in low elo if anyone gets their champion banned by a teammate (especially a yasuo, or riven player), they feel like they are allowed to intentionally troll their team for the upcoming game, constantly saying "well you shouldn't have banned my champ"

....and the worst part about the whole thing is that you will hear teammates or enemy players saying "well dude u banned his champ." They actually support and understand this guy's trolling. I understand the playerbase on this game is probably young teenagers, but why do people encourage such childish behavior? There is around 140 other champions you can choose, and what about the other 3 teammates that didn't ban your champ? Fuck them right? It honestly reminds me of a child not getting the toy he wants at the store, and then throwing a temper tantrum in front of everyone.

Oh and one last thing , if you are one of these people who does this. Think about how dumb it is that instead of taking a 3 LP loss by dodging the game, you lose the full amount of LP, 20-30 minutes of your time upsetting innocent people you will probably never see again, and you will most likely be getting reported at the end... the logic.

I don't get why you would ban someone else's champ, they want to play them for a reason. I believe that if you ban a teammates champ you are the troll, because you are the one that banned the champ they would play. I'm not saying that gives the person the right to troll but I'm just saying that you shouldn't ban someone else's champ.

"Hmm, this person banned my main. I better play the champion they wanted to please them instead" -no one ever.

Just don't ban your team mates pick. Ban their counter picks if you're worried about it. Banning their pick is just going to create more hostility than them playing it.

I would agree with you here if it weren't for the fact that I had someone ban my champion for an entirely bullshit reason.

I picked my boy, Velkoz who is for all intents and purposes my "main", and the champion I consistently do well with, regardless of victory or defeat. One of my teammates decided that he gets to dictate who's skilled or not at a champion, and bans Vel'Koz. I was understandably frustrated by this, since again, he's my main, and I was going mid that game. I ask the guy why he banned my champion, and he tells me "You're Bronze" (I'm not. I'm technically unranked, and was Silver 4 this past season, and one season prior.) I asked him what difference that makes, and explained that Vel is my main, to which he tells me, "You're Bronze. Bronzes don't have mains."

Needless to say, this guy is what is wrong with the League community. It's no wonder people get pissed off when assholes like this exist, and are allowed to keep doing shit like this. I took the que dodge penalty, even though I shouldn't have had to, all because some dipstick believed he gets to dictate a player's skill level solely by looking at their statistics. Statistics do not determine skill level, especially when you've never played with that person.

So while I agree it's wrong to troll in-game just because some asshat banned your champion, it's still not cool for these types of players to be allowed to troll in champ select, and be douchebags to their team, while receiving zero penalties or punishments for toxic behavior. I'd like to see a report feature added in champ select for this very reason, as trolling and such can and does take place outside of the actual game in progress, just as much as it does during a game.

Conversely: DO NOT FUCKING BAN YOUR TEAMMATE'S PICK

Seriously. There is literately no reason to. Oh, they have a sub 50 win rate on them? Who the fuck cares? It is NEVER, under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, YOUR decision as to what THEY play.

You didn't see it? Bull. Fucking. Shit. The icon is greyed out. It has a banner over it saying who picked it. There's a big-ass icon next to their name.

I don't fucking care if it's Tyler fucking one who's going to play Singed support with smite. #DO. NOT. FUCKING. BAN. YOUR. TEAMMATE'S. PICK.

I don't care if it's AP Riven mid. #DO. NOT. FUCKING. BAN. YOUR. TEAMMATE'S. PICK. I don't care if it's AP Yasuo jungle #DO. NOT. FUCKING. BAN. YOUR. TEAMMATE'S. PICK. Your number of excuses is always less than their win rate on that campion minus their win rate on that champion. Meaning: You have literately no excuse. Ever.

They are not RIGHT for inting if you ban their pick, but they sure as hell have the right to be pissed. As soon as you intentionally ban your teammate's pick, your team is automatically in the right for considering you to be a troll, feeder, and general asshole. You just took away what is probably someone's main. Therefore: They now are absolutely certain to have a lower chance of winning. [A hint: Intentionally hurting your team's chance to win via any means beyond an A-meta pick is called "Griefing" or "Feeding". That's a reportable offense. Typically, people are given 14-day bans for those things.]

tl;dr: while you should never feed for a teammate banning your pick (up to 3 bystanders on your team, and 5 on the enemy team, so a total of 8 innocents you can fuck over, _ and two wrongs don't make a right_)... #IT. IS. NOT. ACCEPTABLE. TO. FUCKING. BAN. YOUR. TEAMMATE'S. PICK.

If you ban my champion I don't really care but I do think you're an asshole.

If you ban someone else on our teams champ and he locks in some terrible champ and runs it down mid I'm still blaming you for it, because chances are if the enemy banned his pick he wouldn't be trolling, but no, one of his own teammates banned him out. Also the whole special attention given to Yasuo and Riven players makes it pretty easy to see why people who play those champs are toxic, because they get treated like garbage by their own teams.

I've personally experience the pain that comes with having a bad game on Yasuo plenty of times since I'm not that good with him despite playing with him a lot. On other champs it's a dice roll on whether someone will flame me for playing bad, on Yasuo if I play bad there's no chance that I won't be flamed by at least one member of my team telling me how dog shit I am at the game and typing shit in all chat like "this yas" "this is why I ban yas" the whole fucking game.

So no surprise people who main those champs are quick to get angry as fuck at a teammate. Also don't act like the other three people are always innocent little angels. The amount of games I've been flamed and no one came to my defense are countless. If I decided to troll after getting flamed I'm sure those same people would all call for reports in all chat.

While it doesn't give anyone a get out of jail free card or a "right" to troll, it gives them a motif. If you find fuel to throw in a troll machine, the troll will start moving.

If you ban my champion, i'll just silently select nunu. No fuss, but understand you banned my champion.

If you ban someone else's champ accidentally, you should apologize and dodge (unless they are okay with it).

The worst thing you can do to a team mate is ban their pick intentionally. If you want to be a dick then don't cry if he ints.

i dont troll for having my champ banned, but i will not be taking the game seriously either regardless of how many times LoL boards can downvote me; i treat the game as a norm mode in that case, it helps with champ select tilting a lot tbh

There is a mayor difference between understanding and supporting this type of behavior.

I understand the feeling of satisfaction at screwing over the asshole who banned my champ, but don't support it because it also screws 3 innocent people in the process.
