Champions and VGUs released in 2017
As we approach the end of 2017. I’m curious of what people here thinks regarding the VGUs new champions that got released this year. And these are

I’m gonna share my opinion on these champs in terms of Gameplay, Thematics, Art and Visuals and lore. So let’s get started
: Probably the most balanced champion and one of the most well made rework made this year (Designed by CertainlyT btw). The doggo has clear strengths and weaknesses. He has awesome theme as he is basically the punisher. Cool VFX and audio especially the blood hunt ability. And his lore is pretty good (fucking singed)
: Despite Marksmen getting a lot of hate here, I’m gonna go ahead and say that she’s one of the better Marksmen. Good damage, Great utility. I absolutely cannot stand her edgy character though and I cringe at her VO. Her auto animation and ability VFX is smooth and pretty.
: Probably the most fun champion to play as that got released this year. That dude has a lot of dashes and can set up for the #LC$BIGPLAYS. For real though this champ is pretty satisfying and fulfills the charming dancing guy.
: The edgy anime dude with a darkin scythe that can transform into either the silent, swift Shadow Kayn or the blood thirsty Rhaast. I like Anime so I automatically like his theme. Base Kayn is probably the weakest champion in the early game and he gotta gank to get the Transformation orbs and the transformation itself is so good visually. Most of the time I find Rhaast to be the better form but shadow Kayn is pretty if you know what you’re doing. I find his VO to be very repetitive and annoying.
: Hands down the most metal champion in recent times. His lore, Abilities and Visuals and everything about this 6 legged abomination is just brutal. And his connection to Swain just makes me excited for his upcoming rework.

Gameplay wise, he could be clunky and slow at times. Once you get used to it man he is fun to play and landing his ult is soo satisfying.
: I think it’s safe to say, that this is the most controversial champion in this year. Everything from character and lore (at least according to the dedicated mains) to the gameplay balance. Otherwise you can feel the impact of playing him. Pulling the taunt flash engages and landing that perfect ult and at the sametime he is pretty telegraphed and it’s easy to avoid his abilities
: We all know this guy is broken, But you have to admit that Ornn brings such unique things to the table, The ability to shop anywhere on the map and granting allies item upgrades, but now he’s a “Spam W and R, Win game”. His lore is pretty badass and I like his Ron Swanson personality.
: The most recent rework, This champion is just awesome aesthetically. Fantastic visuals, Great theme, Borderline adult VO (Seriously, listen to the VO, especially in Japanese), But her kit has a bit too much Counterplay™ But she is pretty strong right now thanks to some QoL buffs and the new runes system.
: This champion is fun to play as, terrible to play against and an overloaded kit and somewhat has mobility, Just CertainlyT things. Her VO, Visuals and Art came straight from a Disney movie. Which is fine considering that so many Dark and edgy champions that got released this year.
Overall, pretty exciting year for reworks and new champs. And 2018 looks promising already with upcoming Swain, Irelia, Aatrox and even Rengar revert/rework. And I’m sure that the champion team will make more cool and unique champions.
Sitting and waiting in anticipation for Penns and his Fizz revert comment
