So why can annie kill you without being able to do anything?
If you get stunned, there is literally nothing you can do to survive the 100-0 burst she has.
EDIt hers an example http://plays.tv/video/56d90a59215fff8742

It's unlikely to be 100-0 unless she's relatively fed or it's late game and you didn't build mr. If you're reckless enough to not be building any mr, then you'd best be confident in your ability to position yourself such that a flash ult isn't a possibility for her.
edit: Incidentally, banshees veil ruins a lot of her (and most burst mages) 100-0 combo potential pretty much on its own.
im bronze so i dont really get MR on an adc lol but ill try that next time
As adc positioning is the main thing you should be watching since you're probably the main target people will want to be flash-ulting, but even adcs typically build a defensive item, which is situational based on whose fed. If theres an out of control annie than BV is a strong option, but mercurial scimitar is also an option for some mr and an active to get out of the stun. (Mercurial probably being the 'default' defensive item for many adcs now, as it gives lifesteal and ad as well.)
edit2: Jhin in particular you should be pretty cautious with positioning, as he's quite immobile to begin with. Also wards are your friend.
Sorry, BV? Never heard that acro Also, I know to ward a lot but not many others do in low elo :/
BV=
Warding a lot is all well and good, but warding useful places is all the better. And if you don't have wards somewhere, it's generally safest to assume that every single enemy champ that isn't otherwise accounted for is hiding there ready to murder you, and so you typically shouldn't go there.
I'd typically try to have that little intersection where you got caught warded at all times if I were pushing the bot inner tower for example.
edit: Watching your clip again, you even could see annie coming. So. Minimap awareness is also OP. (And you were apparently getting flanked by a nunu, so probably a bit far up to begin with.)
BV stands for Banshee's Veil

This is your counterplay.
The glorious upgrade to
that gives you MR, a free cleanse of all CC/debuffs once every minute and a half AND gives you great offensive stats at the same level as
. Any ADC facing hard undodgeable CC should get it at some point before late game; no matter what else you build, you're still going to do less damage if you're stunned and dead.
Honestly if you are letting Annie walk up and combo you, then you deserve to get 100-0 killed. Her short range usually prevents her from blowing a backline squishy up late game.
Yes, Annie is a low skill-cap, low counterplay champion, but this makes her very predictable. You should see her coming long before she's in range to kill you.
Your bronze and your complaining that you don't know how to itemize? This is the utter most feebleminded post I have read all day.
so what your saying even if im adc, build lots of MR to survive annie!
Well, considering a somewhat common build on ADCs in high-level play includes Sterak's Gage and Maw of Malmortius or Mercurial Scimitar later in your build for general durability, it isn't a bad idea.
I might be wrong here but didnt games start lasting a lot shorter? Like if you didnt notice in that vid, I was just finished my second item so.... Like I cant rush steraks because then I aint doing any damage
You build
get tank
Annie kills you because you made the mistake of letting her get too close. Basically you punish people who make mistakes in game. Thats how you get out of low elo. So in LOL you need to treat annie like she has germs.

Being to close is a perfect example of flawed lack of counterplay. A point and click stun so Instant and front loaded with damage deserves better counterplay then "don't get too close"
It's easy enough to say not to get too close to someone and he did make the mistake of not Flashing to remove himself from her range since she was obviously going for the kill. But, one thing that's inherently broken about Annie is that she's either extremely gamechanging or she's useless. She's a champion that relies on Flash because otherwise, you'll never let her get within range of you. Tibbers being instant is a large reason why she'll never get meaningful changes to other abilities in her kit.
Considering her counterplay is positioning properly, something YOU SOULD ALREADY BE DOING, it doesn't seem like that big of a deal. Because she's so simple of a champ, she is extremely predictable. She has almost no means of outplaying other champions, especially those such as Zed, Ekko, or Lucian.
Annie punishes mistakes. Ever wonder why higher elo players hardly ever complain about her? Because they make a much lesser amount of mistakes, making Annie weak in comparison to other champions.
Horrible design is horrible design.
Had enough times where being Irelia with Merc treads when they had 35% Tenacity (aka I had roughly 50% tenacity in effect), a Hex Drinker/Maw and Spirit visage and still got killed or below 20% health by an Annie combo where her next ability was enough to kill me before I could really do anything.
It is more a frustration that she has the ability to easily hold on to her stun for minutes at a time which is the problem. Twisted Fate had the duration his cards can be held because of the laning pressure he was able to apply as a result of it but annie can still auto attack while holding a stun meaning she can more reliable farm if you learn how to do so.
Perhaps making her stun passive be next auto attack or damaging ability in the next 10 seconds would be within reason since that would make her unable to hold it for minutes at a time. In this case make auto attacks when she has a stun ready do the same damage as her Q on hit. This would in turn force annie players to either use it or lose it but also have some potential extra damage if using the combo well on a single target.
This would actually enable more burst damage since it could be like an extra Q of damage but remove the endless lane pressure and constant threat of being stunned and blown up with no chance to react. As such it might require her not getting a charge from her shield but instead only damaging abilities so she has soem clear signs of being ready to all in if going for max potential damage.
Just trying to suggest a change for Annie in a way that is more rewarding if played well but less rewarding if played not as well. From what my understanding is, a change like this is the goal of light reworks.
If you're Irelia with all those items and you still can't 1v1 an Annie, you either fed her super hard from the get go, or you are choosing NOT to jump on her and start attacking her. You can easily heal all your health back with your W's passive and kill her with all the damage you have in your kit. Also, if she bursted you and didn't kill you, she can now be stunned by Equilibrium Strike!
Honestly this is such an over exaggeration due to the fact that you don't understand how do deal with a simple champion.
You literally walked right into Annie's range...she didn't even need to flash. You just have bad positioning and poor game knowledge.
Cleanse? QSS? MR?
AP=
AD=
Tank=
Anyone=

maw doesnt help that much against her burst, still jsut breaks right through. but the thing about qss is that even if i get out, her point and click ability just follows me
her w doesn't though. if you can avoid the w, she won't kill you unless she's really fed.
If you look up at the video i added. See she will stun me with tibbers, I cant move for what 2.5 seconds? She is close enough to w by the time im out of stun and im already dead
Her passive stun duration is 1.25s/1.5s/1.75s depending on her level.
Nowhere close to 2.5s
yes ty, put the ? for a reason
your talking about if you get QSS she can't W you because you would be able to QSS out and live. Also Annie can't really do anything unless she has flash up since it's almost impossible for anyone who can get 1 shot by her to walk into her range.
you forgot
Lol i wish i coulda seen your face, when you walked into the jungle and seen annie with her passive up XD. problem is people are like yea she has to be fed to 1 hit you. lol no ive been 100-0 by a level 6 annie with a doran ring before, when i was playing ezreal mid. also most time soon as she gets
you better look the fuck out.
Because she was designed back in the day before people actually considered counterplay and anti-fun when designing champions.
There are things you can do to help prevent this, but I do agree a point and click stun with garunteed damage that is so high needs to be changed.

Or people could position correctly when seeing that her stun is up, or keep track of her stacks so you know if it is safe enough to be close.
there are counters, she is fairly squishy and has problems with positioning
GD even thinks Annie is broken op... what next
Contrary to the common silver players belief; Annie has counterplay. Her passive can be seen simply by left clicking her. If its red kids, Annie is scary, and you need to respect that, back off, and force her to either hold on to it and not be able to use her Q to farm making her lose CS, or make her use her Q to farm. As good Annies dont take E till level 8, that means it will take her roughly 8-10 seconds usually to build up her passive again. If Annie's passive is white kids, she becomes a burst reliant immobile mage with no cc.
Also, if you are playing literally any AD champion,
or
fucks Annie quite hard.
is also fantastic against burst mages, as unless they are fed, they wont be 100-0ing you in lane, unless you were greedy enough to not run MR runes.
As Teemo is in your name, i can only assume you play alot of Teemo. Best thing you can do is build Abyssal, but quite franky Annie vs Teemo is a matchup Annie is SUPPOSED to win. Teemo is meant to counter immobile melee champions, not casters who have the same range as you, unless its TF then you can just blind gold cards all day. If you would like to actually counterpick Annie,
outranges her, and while being harder to play, should beat Annie in most cases.
