No because summoner 1 works vs her ult, Malz forces you to spend 1300 gold on QSS or die everytime he has ult.

Lissandra also has a follow-up root whereas Malzahar only has 1 hard CC. She could be pretty good with Predator or with the Glacial Augment build.

No because she can summoner 14 and self ult , still does same dmg to you even if without cc , but meanwhile ignite is taking your life she is intergettable , healing , and spells cd are over when r effect is finished

summoner 1 can remove summoner 14 so if you're not going to ult them but ignite, then fine they will just Cleanse the ignite instead.

yes my bad on that one , but the other effects still work

In general if you pick cleanse against liss , she gets close W then R herlself

so your cleanse will either concel her w or the slow of her r , both not worth

That actually looks pretty decent in terms of giving her more of a presence in teamfights. Actually pretty silly for Riot to not just throw that into the game seeing as it wouldn't make her oppressive in lane or anything - it would just put her more in line with other Iceborn champions who excel at disrupting and (more specifically) permaslowing enemies.

There's often unintended consequences with a big change like that. Smart to hold off, but I bet we see it in only a patch or two after worlds. Assuming the testing has gone well.

As in bugs? Otherwise the only other unintended consequences come down to whether or not Riot would want the frozen statues to act as terrain/unit block.

Well, yes bugs. But the potential abuse cases are my bigger concern. If they released something that became pick/ban at Worlds, the viewers would be understandably upset.

I think it's unlikely that would happen. But it's wise to be cautious.

They're barely getting a handle on the VFX changes needed for default and skins, that and a ton of needed testing before throwing this anywhere near worlds.

Malzahar is generally picked against team comps that have a damage threat that needs to be locked down - Malzahar is very good at this and he can do it reliably. In Pro Play he is picked, in addition to my previous point, when their Mid Laner is outclassed heavily by the enemy Mid Laner. Instead of picking a Skill Reliant Champion and trying to win 1v1 up against their lane opponent, they pick a champion like Malzahar that can roam to other lanes and play around their carries (aka Malzahar Duty).

For example, you'll probably see TL Pobelter and GG Crown on Malzahar for most of worlds unless it's banned away from them in which case they'll probably end up on a champion like TF/Glacial Augment Ahri & Vel'koz, Lissandra, Zilean, etc.

Her passive is currently in prepare (confirmed that they now are working on vfx for her skins) , and they said they wouldn't release it in worlds cause it would shake the assasin meta (passive is turning any one who died after being attacked by liss to a frozen statute that explodes and damages nearby ennemies)
