It's 2015 and Tri Force still has 10% crit chance

Getting crit three times in a row by Irelia is annoying, but she didn't even buy Tri Force for that purpose. She could care less that it's there, save for the case where it nets a free kill. So why is something like this still in the game? Why doesn't Tri Force build out of Stinger and give CDR, something fighters actually value?

Is there truly a good reason for retaining the Zeal build path?

Getting crit three times in a row by Tryn at level 2 is even more annoying but I don't see people trying to get tryn to have the same kind of crit system as Ashe.

But I would be fine with Triforce having

60% attack speed (would have to be this high to justify the 10% loss of crit chance and 8% movement speed) 250 health 200 Mana 30AD 30AP 10% CDR 200% on hit base damge after using an ability (1.5 second cooldown) Basic attacks grant 20 movement speed for 2 seconds on hit. Minion, monster, and champion kills grant 60 movement speed for 2 seconds. This is halfed for ranged champs

But you do understand thsi would mean that with wit's end gettign above a 2.0 attack speed would be common.

You also do understand that crit chance is only based on the AD a champ has and not the spellblade passive from sheen items meaning that this would actually be a buff for Irelia Damage wise given that 30% attack speed with her true damage and on hit flat healing ammount is better overall especially late game where base attack speed is higher.

That all being said Corki and Ezreal would like to have a word with you about it being a fighter item.

I'm fairly sure leagues crit formula mitigates multiple crits at low crit chance. At 10% crit chance your logical chance of criting twice in a row is 1 in 100, but your actual in-game chance is closer to 0. I couldn't see 3 crits ever happening with league's current crit formula, even unmitigated it's a very low 1/1000 chance.
