Patch 5.22, Masteries, and AP champions state

I write this post hoping for a rioter that can come and answer our questions about the new masteries and the current state of AP champions.

First Topic. Lets start with masteries, I remember a rioter telling us that the main goal with the new masteries was to make every game feel like a unique experience instead of everyone picking the same mastery routes for every type of champion, but, the new mastery trees look more, how to spell it, closed, there is no variety for us to make different routes for the champions we play, and, after 4 or 5 mastery pages finishied, everything ends looking the same, the only difference are the key masteries, aside that, the rest of the tree looks the same for every AP champ, for every AD champ, for every tank, for every support, for every jungler.

The questions about this topic are: Why to limit the number of points you can put in a single tree? You can limit the number of key masteries to one and open the other masteries in the tree to be purchased with the other points. Why is that there are more choices for AD champs than for AP champs? as I can see, the 2 masteries that an AP champ can pick for damage (as example) works very well if taken by AD champs, or hybrid champs, but aside that, AD champs have another 2 key masteries they can pick, the crits one and the increasing AD on abilities and autos, for autos, Why AP champs dont have a mastery that increases her AP as well?

In my opinion, you should do 2 things: first one, add another mastery in the first, third and fifth level fo each mastery, this way you can offer a real variety of things to pick, and second one, you should open the expenditure of points in every tree, with the restriction of only one key mastery.

Second Topic.

Every AP champion in the game was indirectly nerfed due to every AP item getting nerfed, increasing their prices without increasing the stats or utility they provide. Not only that, The 3 Main tier 3 magic resist items got buffed, some people claim that they got nerfed due to their price rising a bit, but they dont realize that those items now gives you more MR and more health, so is an increased price for increased stats, some people claim that AD items for AD champs got nerfed, now they grant less AD, thats true, but their prices are lower now, so is a reduction in stats and a reduction in price. Not only this, in the Juggernaut revamp patch, they got a new item, a VERY good new tank item, coming from black market brawlers, the dead man plate, in this patch, AD champions got a hell lot of new items, and the old ones, being overhauled to match the new ones.

Questions: What was the reasoning behind the nerf to AP items prices? some items got and increased price of 500 hundred gold, and the average increment was about 200 and 300 gold per item, i can think that maybe, the main reason was to make the timing where AD champs and AP champs get those items almost equal, but with some AD end items costing less that end AP items just cracks that reasoning of mine, I want to know why this happen.

Why everyone gets new toys, but AP champs just got the old ones cracked? unless you, Riot, have plans to do the same with AP champs in the near future, i dont compute why you want an entire pack of champions underperforming for months.

Now a question of item interactions and game patterns: Deaths dance + Phantom dancer = potential 24% damage reduction, if you add another lifesteal item, the 12% bleed is meaningless. What can do a bursty champion against this? this not only goes for Ap champs, but for bursty AD champs as well (talon, zed).

The Final question: this entire patch was supposed to be some solution to put and end to the pattern dominance of ad carries being the decisive factor in the vast majority of games, Why do you did exactly the opposite?

TL;DR: read only the questions. Want to hear everyone thoughts, and as I started, I want a Rioter to come and answer for us those questions.

Actually I think almost the same as you. I'll add also, there's is many masteries/items/champs who got nerfed indirectly.

Like Swain : All his abilities are DoT or AoE. I can't think of anyways to maximize the masteries for him. (Keystone Deathfire touch = half damage and less time, mana regen or damage)

AP doesn't have much choice anymore with the masteries. You have 2 choice most of the time (3 for the keystone) and most of the time you don't really have a choice.

I've been trying to find a good setup for Swain and everytime I think I'm finished, I don't like what I get from the masterie. I guess it time to play some marksman...
