seriously? SERIOUSLY? even considering i'm at diamond and that i can be paired with lower elo players, do you think this is what a podium deserves as lp gain? holy crap i'm considering to stop playing ranked until they fix this, there is no value on spending hours to build lp of 4 or 5 games if you can loss it all on one single game that can happen by sheer bad luck.
Agreed. The system feels terrible especially when you lose 80 lp after 6 hours of grinding because the game crashes....
Man don't even. I got 7th 3x and demoted twice due to this bullshit.. Riot needs to make the gains worth and the losses less stupid.. 7th or 8th place are always all the LP you gained from 1st thru 4th..
Get a few 1st places and u will see how ur LP gain will improve if you are climbing the ladder thanks to placing 2nd - 4th ofc you won't get a lot of LP constantly, higher ranks arent for players who just somehow get by... You want to keep your winrate at least at 20-25% for solid gains
@Comicman That's not true at all. I'm mostly winning games and i'm in plat 2 right now. My last 5 games are 1,1,1,5,1 and i'm getting less and less points. I used to get 37 for first place, then 36 and for the last game i got 31 points. For first place! I would have to win 4 times to climb and it gets just one semi bad game to ruin it all. When i placed 8th few days ago i lost 85 points, now it would be even worse. This system is beyond broken.

Plat+ is already only 5% of players, yet I feel like the system is trying to push more players into Gold, Silver and Bronze to make Plat+ more exclusive. (I'm plat so idk how it's like in Diamond). Cmon Riot, the size of Plat is fine the way it is (honestly I'd personally be fine with it being a bit bigger, Iron = top 100%, Bronze = top 90%, Silver = top 70%, Gold = top 30%, Plat = top 10%, Diamond = top 5%, Master = top 1%, challenger = top 300 players). The top 5% of players getting a nicer looking rank icon isn't some sort of horrific thing that needs to be fixed with unfair LP gains and losses. Just let us have our greenish blue ranked crest.
