Is there any point in trying to climb rank and improve MMR????

Currently B1 after losing about 20 matches from S5, most of them I was with a team that just didn't understand the game at all. But anyways, I gain 12LP for a win and lose 26LP for a lose, is there any point in even trying to climb out?? I have to win 3/4 games just to even slightly boost my LP, which honestly in the current game state isn't going to happen.

I'm not a horrible player, I am definitely not as inexperienced as pretty much all of my team mates are. If feels like you have to be at least a plat player to climb out of this pit right now. So is it even possible or at least worth even trying? These matches are no longer helping me improve my game, evvery match turns into me doing fine my lane and trying my best to help my team mates, ward, ping, give advice and warnings and support, then the fed enemy team just steam rolling us back to our base turrets, someone diving or chasing and throwing and me, alone, defending our nexus.

^ This is basically every game for me this preseason. Get in my zone in bot lane out csing by a mile and poking like a mad man, warding and doing damage on turret... Look up at 10 mins and realize enemy mid and top have 5+ kills each already and they just come dive me under turret and just one shot our team until the 20 minute mark.

Well i respect the

feels like you have to be at least a plat player to climb out of this pit right now.

rather than saying "its impossbile, rip elo hell" Honestly, you should focus more on improving in your games rather than climbing. Once you start learning more about how to carry and expand ur lead, climbing will be easier.

I would like to improve my game, but these matches don't give me that opportunity

How do you figure? You don't always have to win to improve. Practice your CS, your vision control, your map pressure etc..

I'm definitely not a platinum player and I climbed out. It seems like you're where I was at the beginning of season 5. I got down to Bronze IV 0 LP before I decided to take a break from ranked. I spent like 6 months just playing normals, watching my replays, watching high level players and improving my mechanics/decision making. I started playing ranked again at the end of the season and had no problem climbing out of bronze with a 70% win rate. It's definitely possible.

Looking at your stats I'd say you aren't too far away from breaking out and seeing a huge improvement in you win rate. I recommend taking a break for a little bit, refine your mechanics in some normals games, watch your replays focusing ONLY on ways you could of played better and then start playing ranked again in a month or so.

I think the post is more how you only get 12 points for winning but 28 taken when you lose. That quickly adds up if you think about in terms of time. you will have to win 3 games to make up for 1 lose. IE if you lose almost as much as you win it doesn't reflect your true skill. Even more when you add a bully or fail meta.

Only if it entertains you. It's s game, do what entertains you.

If you aren't winning more often, you're not doing fine and you do have more to learn. Until silver 2 or so people have literally no idea what is happening. If you're at all decent, you can crush everyone into the nth dimension.

If you're winning as much as you lose, the facrt is you're playing at your rank. If you want to rank up you have to figure out what you are doing to not win and correct it.

There is always something you could have done. It might not be a perfect or guaranteed solution, but you can always come up with a "if I did this instead, it might have gone better"

The bottom line is if you want to improve, you have to make it happen. You have to decide that it will happen.
