It certainly is. So while in ARAM stop whining and complaining when I suck with a random champion I never play. Just shut up and play and hope we win, then on the Rift in normals or co-op/custom we can maybe help each other learn champions we actually want to play, rather than just a randomly selected one.

Edit 8/9/15: Because people don't understand the difference between whining and complaining versus constructive criticism or I'm just terrible at portraying what I'm trying to say:

Constructive Criticism is something like" "Hey build more tanky plz" or "Plz play more safe" or "Stop going in without the rest of us"

Whining and Complaining is: "Man you're bad" or "You suck" or "God you should probably afk because you're so bad at X champion" or "gg poppy doesn't know wtf she is doing"

I'm all for constructive criticism but certainly not whining and complaining.

Someone complaining about you sucking with a champion you've never played in ARAM

is not the same as

Someone complaining about you sucking with a champion you've mastered to play in ranked.

But you know this. You're here to downvote because you came here expecting to see a post about why "Shut up it's ARAM" is something you shouldn't say, but instead got the opposite.

There's a difference between sucking with a champ and playing it deliberately wrong. I don't have Volibear or play him... at all, but when I get it in ARAM and see my team has a heavy magic basis and a tank already, I'll build a Wit's End to help them out and get some AD with my durability.

As for the part about it being the opposite of "It's just ARAM." You didn't give the opposite, you gave an alternative justification for bads to do bad. There are rerolls, there are trades. You can ask people if they know what to do.

So ask someone how to play, or try to trade before the game starts. Don't make excuses because of the game mode.

That having been said, there's a difference between someone asking you to do something different and harassing you. People need to stop raging when their teammates try to give constructive criticism.

There's a huge difference between constructive criticism and "whining and complaining." I thought I made that pretty clear but I guess not.
