99% of the tanks in the game can easily keep him under control without much difficulty if you just play your cards right.

Some tanks, but not all. Malphite and Rammus will fuck him up but otherwise Trynd is going to get to a point where he overwhelms tank champions in lane.

Trynd is all DPS so he can quickly bring down tanks 1v1. And before you say "This isn't a 1v1 game” let's face it Tryndamere plays a 1v1 game/single player mode.

Tanks usually don't have the waveclear to deal with Trynd's nonstop pushing, nor the damage to punish his glass cannon build.

Tanks need to fight with the team to be useful and if Trynd is constantly split pushing and the tank is the top laner then Trynd is helping his team by proxy because not having Maokai in a team fight is going to hurt much more than not having a Garen in a team fight.

Tanks can CC lock Tryndamere while their teammates roam to help kill him but that requires said teammates to constantly leave lane.

Honestly Tryndamere is just an extremely old, bullshit champion and the only way you can reliably deal with his aggravating gameplay pattern without getting help is to pick an extremely old, bullshit champion with an aggravating gameplay pattern i.e. Nasus/Teemo

Reminds me of one TB game I was Darius vs. Trynd. I was already pissed enough about the counter pick but if that wasn't enough Tryndamere right clicked me at level 2 and got 3 motherf*cking crits in a row. I told him in all chat that it was bullshit and even he agreed with me.

first off, tryn isnt bs with little counterplay. all you have to do is have a reasonable amount of cc on your team and hes almost useless. second, i should have been more clear. most tanks cant 1v1 him (tryn is built to excel at 1v1s). basically you need the right combination of tankiness, cc, and/or damage if you want to 1v1 him, otherwise you just need some kiting or cc. trust me, i mained him for about a year and a half, hes not that bad to deal with. the only problem i have with him is really just the existence of crit chance.

I never said tryndamere is low counterplay. I just said that his kit is bullshit because it has him playing the game in a way that runs counter to what Riot is trying to promote. He isn't OP or anything, just a pain to deal with and preys on disorganized teams. Tryndamere is absolutely useless in teamfights against balanced team comps (arguably even at 6 item late game), which is why a good Tryndamere will splitpush 99% of the game.

And as for having the right combination of tankiness, CC, and damage, that is precisely why Nasus works so well against Tryndamere, not to mention Nas plays the same exact game game Trynd does and only stands to benefit from being forced to sit in lane all game.

As my friend once said.... "That ultimate isn't used to finish off your opponent (Tryndamere's), but instead to finish taking that tower." Tryndamere is a split push champ with high escape. Why would you team fight when you could grab inhib and nexus towers with little effort? Literally all your team has to do is not fight and pressure when needed, but not too many people can do that in lower elo (I am in lower elo). He has amazing 1v1 potential and can bring down many carries, but due to the fact that a downed inhib frees up so much pressure on your team compared to 1 team fight....

well, first off split pushers arent that hard to deal with if you just play right. second, think about the teamfighting thing this way: if the enemy tryn is split pushing, why not teamfight 5v4, kill all the others, have one or two people who can keep tryn from pushing in b out while the rest of your team takes turrets to your hearts content.

Neither of those are tanks. They are bruisers, and as such have the damage and tankiness to hold off Trynd for most of the game. And they usually end up splitpushing anyway because unless they're fed out of their mind they are almost as useless in teamfights as Tryndamere.

well i was a trynd main last season and i never really struggled against teemo that much its just a matter of baiting out the blind then waiting for it to wear off before actually trading his shrooms are awful but that just a mini game of mine sweeper

Unfortunately double TP meta makes it too easy to snowball games and end before Nasus becomes a threat.

I miss the good old days when toplaners actually had to deal with their lane opponent instead of TP botlane 5 minutes in, help their ADC get a double, and wait 7 minutes for a fed ADC to come top and win lane for them.

tryndamere needs levels and items to be a real threat but hes incredibly countered by cc and attack speed slows which nasus has and if you feel like that's not enough you can even take exhaust instead of flash

Tryn has a weird powercurve against Nasus. Early its all about the RNG. Then Nasus wins mid. Then Tryn wins late.

Assuming, of course, a standard Nasus build. I can see a Nasus winning late if he builds offensive, but a trinity isnt enough once Tryn gets BOTRK, PD, IE, and Last Whisper.

Nasus has an AS slow that lasts for 21 minutes, and Tryndamere has one way to do damage other than autos, which is also his escape for when Sejuani camps him.
